New York Red Bulls homegrown Daniel Edelman could be on his way to Europe in the Major League Soccer postseason, according to various reports.
The 22-year-old has been impressing for the Red Bulls since breaking into the team in 2022, racking up over a century of appearances. He has been virtually ever-present for the MLS franchise since the 2023 season.
In the process, Edelman fulfilled a childhood dream. A Warren, New Jersey, native, the midfielder grew up supporting the side and regularly attended games at Red Bull Arena as a child.

He is one of the many players to have come through the club's famed academy, following in the footsteps of Tyler Adams, John Tolkien and Matt Miazga. Like his predecessors, the youngster now looks set to make the jump to Europe.
MLS transfer insider Tom Bogert revealed on Tuesday that Edelman could be on the move in the postseason, as he has been attracting interest from across the league and Europe for several transfer windows.
Edelman heading to the Championship?
Bogert reports that previous offers fell below the Red Bulls' valuation of the 22-year-old, but he did not disclose the amount the New Jersey club are demanding.
Sky Sports has now confirmed that Edelman is being courted by clubs from Europe and England, particularly from the Championship. The US youth international has several suitors in England's second division.
However, it was not revealed which clubs are keen on him. The report expects Edelman to become a "prominent" name over the winter, suggesting that his future will indeed lie across the pond rather than elsewhere in MLS.
Edelman will likely play his final match for the Red Bulls against the Columbus Crew on Decision Day next week. Despite making the MLS Cup showpiece last year, NYRB have missed out on the playoffs altogether this season.
