Man Utd learn Fernandes & Sesko are both wanted - by the same European giant
Juventus are interested in signing Manchester United duo Bruno Fernandes and Benjamin Sesko in an ambitious double swoop, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Serie A giants have reportedly shortlisted Sesko and Monaco ace Folarin Balogun as they look to sign a new striker at the end of the season.
Gazzetta claims Juventus are in the market for a new forward because they have no plans to sign Newcastle United loanee Nick Woltemade on a permanent basis.
The Bianconeri are also analysing players who could became free agents next summer, with United captain Fernandes among their targets.
Midfielder Fernandes has less than a year to run on his contract with United but the Portugal international is in negotiations over an extension.
However, Gazzetta understands Juventus are monitoring the situation closely and are ready to pounce if Fernandes and United are unable to find an agreement.
Fernandes started his professional career in Italy with Novara, scoring four goals in 23 games before taking in spells with Serie A sides Udinese and Sampdoria.
After two-and-a-half seasons with Sporting CP, he joined United in January 2020 and has become their greatest player in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.
Fernandes, 32, has registered over 100 goals and assists apiece in 334 appearances at Old Trafford, and has repeatedly expressed his love for the club.
Sesko meanwhile joined the Red Devils from RB Leipzig in August 2025 and scored 12 goals in 32 appearances in his first season in England.
However, Gazzetta claims Juventus are keeping a watchful eye on his “slow start” to the new season, with the Slovenia star having scored just two goals so far.
United are looking to return to winning ways when they host fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, 10 October.
The 20-time league champions have won just two of their seven games in 2026-27, while Spurs are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season.
Juventus, on the other hand, are seventh in Serie A having lost just one of their opening five league games, winning three and drawing the other.
Yet Luciano Spalletti’s side have scored just eight goals in those fixtures, with summer signings Randal Kolo Muani and Woltemade yet to find the net.
