Done Deals: Arsenal sign Guimaraes and every official transfer completed around Europe today
The 2026 summer transfer window will close in less than one month, and clubs across Europe are beginning to ramp up negotiations as they look to bolster their squads ahead of Deadline Day.
The big transfer news is that Barcelona are closing in on a deal to sign Rodri from Manchester City at the expense of Real Madrid, who have confirmed that Vinicius Junior has signed a new long-term contract.
So far this summer, Chelsea have unsurprisingly spent the most money of any club in world football, with the likes of Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix and Marco Palestra arriving at Stamford Bridge. Danny Welbeck, Valentin Barco and Jordan Henderson have also joined the club in recent days as they prepare for Xabi Alonso’s first season in charge.
Tottenham Hotspur have also spent big this summer, with Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes joining the club for over €200m combined, and Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dubravka arriving in north London too.
Meanwhile, Manchester United have signed Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, Karl Darlow and Tynan Thompson to bolster Michael Carrick’s first-team squad, but they crucially missed out on top target Elliot Anderson to arch-rivals Manchester City.
Enzo Maresca’s side paid a club-record fee of €135m to sign the England midfielder from Nottingham Forest, and they have also completed deals for youngsters Mathys Detourbet, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles in their first transfer window without Pep Guardiola since January 2016.
In addition, Arsenal have signed Christos Tzolis, Piero Hincapie, Illan Meslier and Bruno Guimaraes as they get ready for their Premier League title defence.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have purchased Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Samuel Martinez, and they are in talks over a possible deal for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Bradley Barcola and Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.
In Europe, Real Madrid have signed Marc Cucurella, Denzel Dumfries, Ibrahima Konate, Bernardo Silva and Carlos Espi following Jose Mourinho’s return to the club, while they could be set to purchase Man City midfielder Rodri too.
Their La Liga rivals Barcelona have signed Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon for €80m, Borussia Dortmund ace Karim Adeyemi for €22m rising to €29m and Club Brugge winger Jesse Bisiwu for €8.5m.
Juventus have purchased Randal Kolo Muani and Kerim Alajbegovic, Bayern Munich have signed Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, and AC Milan have backed new manager Ruben Amorim by purchasing his compatriot Goncalo Ramos for a whopping €74m.
Furthermore, John Stones has signed for Inter Milan on a Bosman deal and PSG are in advanced talks to sign Ferran Torres, Mika Godts and Zion Suzuki, having already snapped up Maghnes Akliouche.
