Transfer Rumours: Barcelona go 'all out' in stunning Kane deal after star 'agrees' move
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 29 June, including the latest updates on Harry Kane, Johan Manzambi and Mason Mount.
Barcelona eye sensational Kane transfer
Barcelona have reached out to the representatives of Harry Kane in the hopes of making a stunning move for the Bayern Munich star this summer.
Kane was the most prolific scorer in Europe’s top leagues last season, netting 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches and 70 times in total for club and country after his three strikes for England at the 2026 World Cup so far.
According to the Daily Mail Kane’s representatives have shut down a move to the Catalans, with the focus likely to be on securing a new contract with Bayern Munich instead as the 32-year-old enters the final year of his current deal.
Barca are said to have agreed to revisit their interest in Kane after he returns from the World Cup, with the La Liga giants ready to go ‘all out’ if they are given any encouragement of a deal, although Bayern have no inclination to sell their star man.
Newcastle eye 2026 World Cup star Manzambi
Newcastle are showing interest in Johan Manzambi after the Freiburg star’s impressive performances at the 2026 World Cup for Switzerland.
Manzambi has netted three times in the tournament, as well as providing one assist, which has elevated his profile significantly after a campaign in which he scored five times and created four goals in the Bundesliga for Freiburg.
Newcastle are facing significant interest in captain Bruno Guimaraes from Arsenal as well as Sandro Tonali from Tottenham, which has led to Manzambi being outlined as a potential replacement if either player is sold.
According to the Daily Mail Manzambi’s price tag is thought to be around £40 million (€50m), although it remains to be seen if more teams enter the race as the 20-year-old’s World Cup progresses.
Gusto ‘agrees’ Man City move
The Frenchman has been earmarked as a priority transfer target by City and he has agreed to join the club this summer, according to a bombshell report from Foot Mercato.
Gusto is keen to work under incoming City boss Enzo Maresca again and the Premier League giants are now ready to engage in formal talks with Chelsea over a fee, which may prove difficult considering the 23-year-old’s contract at Stamford Bridge isn’t due to expire until 2030.
Gusto isn’t regarded as one of Chelsea’s ‘untouchables’, but the club aren’t willing to let him leave for a cheap fee, with rumours suggesting that it will take €86.7 million (£75m) to successfully lure him away from west London this summer.
Amorim wants Mount reunion at Milan
Mason Mount could make a surprise reunion with Ruben Amorim at Milan after the Italian giants were reportedly offered a chance to sign the Manchester United midfielder.
Amorim was announced as Milan’s new manager earlier this month, having been sacked by United in January, and the Portuguese coach has allegedly given the club his ‘green light’ to pursue Mount.
That is according to MilanPress.it who claim that Mount feels ‘out of place’ in the project of Michael Carrick, leading to Amorim interest to bring him to Milan.
It is alleged that information is currently being exchanged and that negotiations could be possible at a market value of €25 million.
