Barcelona still in Rashford talks

Barcelona remain locked in negotiations with Man Utd over the future of Marcus Rashford, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed.

The Blaugrana are unwilling (or unable) to trigger the €30 million purchase option in their loan agreement, so they are trying to agree a restructured deal to sign the England winger. However, Man Utd are unwilling to budge from their stance that the option must be exercised.

"There have been ongoing conversations between the clubs," Romano says. Man Utd insist on a €30m buy option clause. Otherwise, the player could return, and the club would decide his future.

"Barcelona are pushing because Rashford wants to stay. His relationship with the coach and teammates is excellent. Barcelona are trying to restructure the deal, possibly extending the loan or changing the conditions. At the same time, they are exploring alternatives in the winger market."

Diouf a new target

Man Utd have shortlisted West Ham left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf as a potential summer target, as per The Guardian.

The Senegal international has impressed despite the Hammers' struggles this season, and it is believed that his excellent crossing ability could complement Red Devils striker Benjamin Sesko.

Man Utd are known to be in the market for a left-back as Patrick Dorgu's move further forward (and current injury) has left them with just Luke Shaw as their only available player for that position. Diouf currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of around €40m.

Man Utd in the mix for Van de Ven

Micky van de Ven will hold talks with Tottenham over his future regardless of whether they stay up or get relegated, CaughtOffside claims.

The Netherlands international is "unsettled" and keen to leave Spurs for a new challenge, which has put numerous European and Premier League giants on alert. Tottenham, for their part, won't make life easy for suitors and will demand a hefty fee.

Man Utd are among the clubs keeping tabs on the situation, though it was recently reported that the Old Trafford club will only make a move for a centre-back this summer if Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez fail to prove their fitness.

Anderson a "Rolls-Royce"

Top Man Utd target Elliot Anderson has been hailed as a "Rolls-Royce" after his performance in Nottingham Forest's 1-0 Europa League win over Aston Villa.

The England midfielder put in an extraordinary shift at the City Ground, though he was fortunate not to be sent off for a reckless challenge. Stan Collymore has described the Forest star as a "Rolls-Royce."

His performance on the biggest stage will have only confirmed to Man Utd and Man City that he is the right man for their respective midfields. Currently, City are still believed to be the favourites to sign him, but the Red Devils have not yet given up.
