Spanish goalkeeper officially joins OnlyFans

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Lola Gallardo has confirmed that she has joined OnlyFans.

The Spaniard has played most of her career with Los Colchoneros over two spells and currently captains the side. She has won several trophies, including three Spanish league titles and two Copa de la Reina trophies with Atletico.

She also won the UEFA Women’s Champions League with Lyon in 2020. She has represented Spain at international level and is considered an experienced player in Spanish women’s football.

OnlyFans is a subscription-based website where creators can share content directly with people who pay to follow them.

Though it is known for adult content, people also use it for things like fitness, music, cooking, and other types of content. Creators can earn money through subscriptions, tips, and paid posts.

It is Gallardo's intention to use the platform to detail her sporting and personal life as she will soon welcome a baby with her partner Cristina Vicente.

"Women's football is growing massively in popularity, and it's an incredibly exciting time to be part of the game," he stold Marca.

"There is still plenty of work to do to bring fans closer to the players and the stories behind the sport. That's why I'm thrilled to join OnlyFans."

A number of professional sportspeople have publicly used OnlyFans, either to share sports and lifestyle content, build a fan community, or monetise exclusive material. Examples include tennis player Nick Kyrgios, MMA fighter Paige VanZant, MMA champion Cris Cyborg, pole vaulter Alysha Newman, basketball player Liz Cambage, and former motorsport driver Renee Gracie.

Other athletes reported to have used the platform include Valentina Shevchenko and Stipe Miocic from MMA, Elise Christie from speed skating, Sabrina Stanley from ultrarunning, and motorcycle racer Tayla Relph.

Tennis player Alexandre Muller has also publicly discussed OnlyFans and its growing presence among tennis players.

It's worth noting that having an OnlyFans account doesn't automatically mean an athlete posts sexual or explicit material.
