Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a sensational summer move for Arsenal wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly as they look to sign a new left-back ahead of next season.

Luke Shaw has started every Premier League match for the Red Devils so far this campaign, however Michael Carrick’s side want to bolster their options on the left side of defence this summer as Tyrell Malacia is set to depart on a Bosman deal in July.

Patrick Dorgu was also deployed in an advanced role as a winger before suffering a hamstring injury in January and Man Utd are therefore in the market for a new left-back ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown and Fulham’s Antonee Robinson have both been linked with an Old Trafford switch in recent weeks, although the 13-time Premier League champions have now added Lewis-Skelly to their list of summer transfer targets.

That is according to a shock report from TEAMtalk, who claim that Man Utd have actively been monitoring Lewis-Skelly’s situation ahead of a potential swoop this summer.

It’s reported that Arsenal are willing to cash in on the 19-year-old, while the England defender himself is open to a transfer after falling behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium.

Myles Lewis-Skelly to join Man Utd?

Lewis-Skelly has made 27 appearances across all competitions so far this season, but he has only started one Premier League match in 2025-26, while he hasn’t played a single minute in the competition since Arsenal’s 0-0 draw against Liverpool on 8 January.

As a result, he has lost his place in the England set-up and he is now extremely unlikely to be selected for the upcoming World Cup in North America, with Lewis Hall and Nico O’Reilly both picked for the March international break instead.

Brentford and Everton are also reportedly tracking Lewis-Skelly’s progress ahead of this summer, with both clubs in the market for defensive reinforcements before the 2026-27 season kicks off, but Man Utd are keen to win the race for his signature.

In addition to the Arsenal starlet, Man Utd are also interested in RB Leipzig star David Raum and Crystal Palace ace Tyrick Mitchell, although they will likely wait to appoint a new permanent manager before making any final transfer decisions.
