Man Utd Transfer News: Rashford swap deal, Casemiro option, Chelsea target
All the latest news and gossip from Manchester United, who are eyeing a smart move to get better value for Marcus Rashford from Barcelona and have been told to target a Chelsea star.
Rashford out, Balde in? United willing to make Barcelona swap
Man Utd are willing to make a direct swap deal with Barcelona that would see Marcus Rashford move to the Camp Nou side on a permanent basis.
Presently, the Catalan side have a €30 million buy-out clause in Rashford’s deal but their financial issues may prevent them from completing that move.
United are willing to offer them an alternative, Sport reports. In this case, they will take left-back Alejandro Balde from the Blaugrana.
Alternatively, they are ready to offer €40m for the Spain international.
Man Utd told to sign Hato
Another alternative for the left-back role that Man Utd have been advised to consider is Chelsea’s Jorrel Hato.
The Dutchman has struggled to make an impression at Stamford Bridge following a big-money move from Ajax in the summer, but former Red Devils assistant manager Rene Meulensteen has told his former club that making a deal could be a smart piece of business.
"If I were a Premier League club, including Manchester United, and he's a viable option or will become one, I would definitely take him. He's still very young and has a lot of potential," Meulensteen is quoted as saying.
What next for Casemiro?
Casemiro was recently spotted in Miami, and it has been confirmed that the Brazil international is indeed targeting a move to MLS when he leaves Man Utd as a free agent in the summer.
The former Real Madrid star sees the lifestyle in America as a major draw and seems to be more focused on joining the likes of Lionel Messi and Marco Reus in MLS than playing for another major European side, according to The Telegraph.
