Riccardo Calafiori to depart?

Arsenal have not ruled out selling Riccardo Calafiori on a permanent deal this summer if they receive a suitable offer, according to Football Insider.

The Italy international has established himself as an integral member of Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad this season, but his injury issues remain a concern for the Gunners.

As a result, they are reportedly open to offers for Calafiori this summer.

Anthony Gordon response

Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon has insisted that he will not be affected by rumoured transfer interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The England international has emerged as a €95 million target for both Premier League giants ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta and Arne Slot eager to bolster their attacking ranks with the 24-year-old.

However, after Newcastle’s 6-1 demolition of Qarabag on Wednesday, Gordon told reporters: “It’s the same old, same old. I haven’t heard anything, they might want to tell me before they tell you [the media].

“I have gone through enough transfer stuff now to know that it is all a load of rubbish. I am focused on me and focused on the team, I am focused on right now.

“You look too far in the future and you start to underperform. And believe me I have done that [before] and I am not going to do that now.”

Bukayo Saka new deal

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has officially put pen to paper on a new long-term contract.

The homegrown superstar's previous deal was due to expire in 2027, but after lengthy talks with the Gunners, which dragged on for over a year, Saka has committed to fresh terms until 2031.

Upon confirmation of his new contract, Saka told the official Arsenal website: "I'm feeling amazing. I think it's a fantastic moment for my family and for me. I feel immense joy to continue my journey at this club. For me, it was an easy commitment and I just hope to win everything here.

“The journey that I've been on, from where I started to where I am now, and the journey the team's been on as well, is a special one. I believe the next few years are going to be the years that we get over the line, and we're able to win trophies and make history for this club. We're back where we belong, fighting for everything."

Kennet Eichhorn latest

Hertha BSC wonderkid Kennet Eichhorn has decided to move in the summer transfer window amid interest from Arsenal, Real Madrid and German giants.

The 16-year-old has been the breakout star of the current 2. Bundesliga season and, despite his youth, Eichhorn has become a regular starter for fallen giants Hertha in their pursuit of promotion.

Transfer speculation unsurprisingly continues to swirl, and Hertha are hoping to tie him down to a new contract and remove his current release clause of €12 million.

However, BILD now claims that Eichhorn has decided to move on. The youngster is keen to train with an elite club, with this decision also influenced by Hertha's ailing fortunes in the battle for promotion.

Leon Goretzka to join?

Arsenal are favourites to land Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka on a free transfer when he departs the Bundesliga giants at the end of his contract, according to reports from Germany.

Goretzka is one of the highest-profile players who is set for free agency in the summer. At 31 years old, he is a veteran of eight years with Bayern, during which time he has won six Bundesliga titles and the 2019/20 Champions League.

With a reputation as a physically imposing central midfielder, he has unsurprisingly attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Arsenal, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen, Bild reports.

However, it is Arsenal who lead the way for Goretzka, with the player said to be “leaning towards” a switch to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

Karl Etta Eyong rejects transfer

Arsenal striker target Karl Etta Eyong has decided to reject the advances of CSKA Moscow, despite Levante’s desire to sell him.

The Cameroon international has scored six goals and provided three assists in 22 La Liga appearances so far this season, and CSKA Moscow have been attempting to sign him for several months.

Fabio Celestini’s side have submitted a €30 million offer for his services and Levante are keen to offload the 22-year-old on a permanent deal before the Russian winter transfer window closes on 19 February.

However, Eyong has no intention of moving to CSKA Moscow and he is instead aiming to secure a summer transfer amid interest from Arsenal, Barcelona, Man Utd and Real Madrid, as per Ben Jacobs on X.
