Manchester United have already presented a contract offer to RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande, according to CaughtOffside.

The Bundesliga side are demanding more than €100m for Diomande, who is under contract in Germany until June 2030.

United appear to have offered a fee around €70m, which they have been told will not be enough to get a deal done. Furthermore, Leipzig are determined to hold onto the winger until the summer amid significant transfer interest in his signature.

Bukayo Saka agreement

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Bukayo Saka over a new long-term contract at the club.

The England international has been locked in talks with the Gunners hierarchy over a new deal for several months and a full agreement has now been reached between all parties to extend his current deal, which is due to expire in 2027.

That is according to Ornstein, who has revealed that Saka’s new deal will run until June 2031 and will be officially announced by the club shortly.

Kyogo decision

Kyogo Furuhashi is reluctant to leave Birmingham City this month, according to The Herald, despite rumours that he could be set to return to former club Celtic on loan for the remainder of the season.

The Japan centre forward is without a Championship goal in 23 matches since his arrival at St Andrew’s last summer, but it’s claimed that Kyogo is reluctant to give up on his career at Birmingham and will therefore need to be persuaded to complete a sensational return to the Scottish giants.

It comes after reports that Celtic chiefs are working on a deal to bring him back to the club on a six-month loan deal until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Liam Rosenior targets Valentin Barco

New Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior wants to sign Strasbourg midfielder Valentin Barco, according to a report from DSport.

Rosenior converted Barco from a left-back into a full-time midfielder, which has proven to be a masterstroke for a player who had previously struggled to come to grips with the European game following his move from Boca Juniors to Brighton in 2024.

Barco has contributed a goal and six assists this term, and the report claims that there is a "good chance" of seeing him at Stamford Bridge sooner rather than later.

Arsenal submit enquiry

Arsenal and Liverpool have both submitted an enquiry over a potential deal for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, as per TEAMtalk.

Barcola has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current deal at PSG and the French giants are reportedly set to schedule contract extension talks as they look to tie him down to fresh terms and end reports of a departure.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both eager to pounce on his current situation at the Parc des Princes as they look to finalise the signing of a new left winger this year, but PSG insist that Barcola isn’t for sale, according to TEAMtalk.

Exclusive: Man City want Xabi Alonso

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has been targeted as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Duncan Castles has revealed on the Transfers Podcast in conjunction with FootballTransfers.

Alonso has had an uncomfortable time at the Bernabeu since moving to Los Blancos from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025 and remains a possibility for City as they monitor potential replacements for Guardiola.

The former Liverpool midfielder has struggled to win the faith of either the Real Madrid hierarchy or squad since heading back to Spain, and an exit appears to be a possibility this year.

Exclusive: Carlo Ancelotti’s Man Utd dream revealed

Carlo Ancelotti once regarded the Manchester United managerial job as one that he wanted before retirement, setting him up as a potential candidate for the Old Trafford role next summer.

Ancelotti is currently Brazil head coach, where he has a contract until after the World Cup, and football transfers expert Duncan Castles explained on the Transfers Podcast in conjunction with FootballTransfers that the Italian has dreamed of taking charge of the Red Devils in the past.

With Man Utd willing to wait until the summer to appoint a permanent manager, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seemingly in pole to take the interim post until the end of the season, the door could be open for the ex-Real Madrid and Chelsea manager to return to the Premier League.
