Arsenal Transfer News Today: Semenyo decision made as January bid incoming
All the latest Arsenal transfer news in one place, including updates on Antoine Semenyo, Rodrigo Mendoza and Nathaniel Brown.
Semenyo decision made
Bournemouth superstar Antoine Semenyo has picked Liverpool as his preferred January destination amid interest from Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd and Tottenham.
The Ghana international has a €74 million release clause that will only be active for a limited period in the winter window to allow Bournemouth enough time to sign an adequate replacement.
Semenyo would be open to joining any of his suitors, but his first choice would be Liverpool, who may be forced to sign an attacker amid the uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah.
Arsenal to bid for Mendoza
Arsenal director Andrea Berta is a massive admirer of Elche midfielder Rodrigo Mendoza, and a January bid for the Spain youth international is a distinct possibility.
After primarily signing ready-made first-teamers in the summer, Arsenal want to pivot to a more youth-focused approach to set up Mikel Arteta's side for the future.
Mendoza has a €20m release clause, but the Gunners are not his only admirers. Although he is an Elche homegrown, he could jump ship mid-season if the right project comes along.
Arsenal rivalled for Brown
Tottenham will rival Arsenal and Man Utd for the signature of Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown, according to TEAMtalk.
The Germany international produced a spectacular assist against Barcelona in the Champions League, further boosting his personal stock despite Frankfurt's difficult run of results.
Brown is expected to fetch a fee in the region of €70m next summer. The Bundesliga side fully expect the left-back to leave the club in 2026.
Arsenal want Croatia international
Arsenal are competing with Crystal Palace for the signing of Rijeka midfielder Toni Fruk, according to TEAMtalk.
A five-time Croatia international, the 24-year-old is expected to be on the move in 2026 after "exploding" this season with 10 goals and two assists in 26 appearances.
Rijeka are demanding a fee of at least €15m, while his former club Fiorentina retain matching rights, potentially complicating a deal. However, it seems unlikely that Fruk would prefer a return to Italy over a move to England, having admitted that he dreams of playing in the Premier League.
