Vinicius Jr truth

Real Madrid superstar duo Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo have both been linked with a blockbuster move to Chelsea in recent weeks, however transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has poured cold water on such claims.

He admitted in his latest YouTube video: “I wanted to talk with you guys about Chelsea because we had reports from Brazil about Rodrygo and I told you, ‘No, this deal is not true. There are no talks, no conversations’.

“From what I’m told, Rodrygo is not even on the list at Chelsea. So at the moment there is absolutely zero in these reports on Rodrygo and Chelsea.

“From Spain in recent days, we also saw links between Vinicius Jr and Chelsea. Some links in Spain, some reports in Spain, saying that Vini is probably one of the players being considered by Chelsea in case he decides to leave Real Madrid.

“Guys, what I can tell you is that also in this case, similar to Rodrygo, for a reason that is not the quality of these players - it’s not about liking or not liking players like Rodrygo or Vinicius as these are fantastic players - but Chelsea are going in a different direction.”

Chelsea want Elliot Anderson

Chelsea are reportedly “increasingly keen” on finalising a deal for Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson, who is firmly on Manchester United’s transfer radar.

The 22-year-old, who has established himself as a regular starter for the England national team this season, has emerged as a top transfer target for Man Utd amid their pursuit of a new central midfielder in 2026.

However, Chelsea have emerged as potential challengers in recent weeks and they are now “increasingly keen” to bring the England star to Stamford Bridge next year.

That is according to a report from CaughtOffside, who claim that Anderson has been extensively scouted by Chelsea so far this term.

Agent Enzo Fernandez

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has confirmed that he helped the club complete the signing of Moises Caicedo in 2023.

The Ecuador star was heavily linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool, but he eventually completed a blockbuster move to Chelsea for a fee of €116 million after a stellar spell at the AMEX Stadium.

When asked about his relationship with Caicedo, Fernandez admitted to Koora Break: “The connection is that when I found out Chelsea wanted him, obviously I was the first to call him because, being South American, the club also asked me on their behalf to try to talk to Moi so that he would come.

“Obviously I did and I wanted to bring in an incredible player like Moi who contributes a lot to the team.”

Chelsea lodge offer for Brazilian wonderkid

Chelsea have made a cheeky €10 million offer for Cruzeiro wonderkid Felipe Morais, according to Brazilian media.

The attacking midfielder is currently in Qatar for the U17 World Cup with Brazil and he scored twice in the group stage, which quickly gave rise to links with European clubs, chiefly Chelsea.

PH Cruzeirense has now provided an update on Morais' situation and insists that Chelsea have already acted on their interest by making a rather audacious bid for the teenager.

It is claimed that the Blues have made an offer in the region of €10 million for the 17-year-old, which seems fair for a youngster who is yet to make his senior debut. However, this sum pales in comparison to the €100m release clause Cruzeiro have inserted in his contract.

Romeo Lavia swap rejected

Chelsea offered Man Utd the chance to sign Romeo Lavia in a swap deal bid for Alejandro Garnacho this summer, according to ESPN.

The Blues eventually completed the signing of Garnacho for a fee of €46.2m on 30 August, following weeks of negotiations, but they were reportedly initially interested in reducing their outlay by including Lavia in the transfer.

However, Man Utd rejected this approach due to the Belgium international’s injury troubles over the past two years.

Lavia has missed a total of 79 matches through injury since joining Chelsea in 2023, while he has only made 30 appearances for the west London giants.
