Manchester United have held talks with Nicolas Jackson’s representatives as they consider a possible bid for the Chelsea striker this summer.

Jackson, 24, has been Chelsea’s starting centre forward since his arrival from Villarreal in 2023, but a summer exit is on the cards as he has fallen down the pecking order following the recent signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

Enzo Maresca’s side are still eager to retain the Senegal international for another season, however he is no longer considered untouchable and the Blues will sanction a sale if an offer of €115 million is submitted during the 2025 summer transfer window, as per The Daily Mail.

As exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers back in May, Man Utd are among the clubs interested in signing Jackson this summer, with Ruben Amorim determined to bring a new striker to Old Trafford following the poor form of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee last term.

Man Utd’s interest in the Chelsea star has been verified by multiple sources and BBC Sport reporter Nizaar Kinsella has now revealed that initial negotiations have taken place between the Red Devils and Jackson’s agent, Ali Barat.

Chelsea’s long-standing interest in Man Utd outcast Alejandro Garnacho may reportedly play a role in a possible move for Jackson, with reports suggesting that a swap deal could be on the cards.

Nicolas Jackson to join Man Utd?

Jackson scored 13 goals in 37 appearances for Chelsea last season, but Maresca’s team selection at the Club World Cup suggests that he will play a fairly small role at Stamford Bridge next season if a transfer fails to materialise.

As a result, he is being monitored by multiple Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, and he is now in talks with Man Utd ahead of a possible move to Old Trafford.

Moise Kean and Ollie Watkins have also been linked with a Man Utd transfer this summer, although Viktor Gyokeres appears unlikely to join the Red Devils, despite rumours of a surprise hijack.
