Victor Osimhen transfer CONFIRMED by Nigeria boss

Nigeria head coach Eric Chelle has seemingly confirmed that Victor Osimhen will leave Napoli on a permanent deal this summer amid significant transfer interest from across world football.
The 26-year-old spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Galatasaray after falling out with the Napoli hierarchy and he is now being chased by a plethora of top clubs ahead of an imminent exit.
Osimhen is currently in “advanced talks” to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, although Chelle believes a move to a top European club could be on the cards instead.
He also revealed that Osimhen has been omitted from Nigeria’s squad to face Russia on Friday due to ongoing transfer speculation - all but confirming a permanent summer move in the process.
“Victor is, for me, the best striker in the world,” Chelle admitted to BBC Sport Africa. “For him it is difficult to come for this game [versus Russia] because he played a season with a lot of pressure.
“The reality is there is a transfer window. During this time, a player like him is not focused at 100%.
“I need to protect him physically and mentally, because maybe he will go [and get a transfer move].
“Maybe a club like Manchester United. Or maybe Chelsea, Barcelona or Real Madrid. So he needs to be focused on that.”

Who will Victor Osimhen join?
John Obi Mikel has repeatedly stated that Osimhen wants to join Chelsea this summer, although the Blues are set to announce the signing of Liam Delap shortly, while they are also chasing a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike.
Signing Osimhen is therefore extremely unlikely as things stand.
Man Utd remain interested in the Nigeria superstar after missing out on Delap to Chelsea, but Barcelona and Real Madrid aren’t currently pursuing a transfer.
As a result, a move to Al-Hilal is currently Osimhen’s most likely next step.
