Florian Wirtz to Liverpool: €130m bid rejected as Slot offers FAN FAVOURITE in swap deal

Bayer Leverkusen have rejected Liverpool’s latest offer for Florian Wirtz as they continue to demand a fee of €150 million, according to reports in Germany.
Arne Slot’s side are determined to sign Wirtz this summer and they are currently locked in negotiations with Leverkusen after agreeing personal terms with the 22-year-old.
Wirtz has snubbed interest from Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid to join Liverpool during the 2025 summer transfer window, although the Reds are yet to match Leverkusen’s €150m asking price.
In fact, German outlet Kicker have revealed that Liverpool’s latest offer of €130m, including add-ons, has been turned down by Bayer Leverkusen.
There remains a €20m gap in the two clubs’ valuation of Wirtz and Liverpool are weighing up a swap deal offer in a bid to reduce their outlay on the Germany international.
As per Kicker, the Reds are set to offer Harvey Elliott to Leverkusen. The Liverpool midfielder recently admitted his love for the club, which has endeared him to the Anfield crowd, but he is in “high demand” this summer and an exit could be on the cards.
He is seen as a potential replacement for Wirtz by the Bayer Leverkusen hierarchy and Liverpool may be eager to finalise a swap deal in order to reduce their transfer bill if possible.

Florian Wirtz to Liverpool
Wirtz will become the most expensive signing in Premier League history if Liverpool match Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price this summer, and he is expected to play a key role in the Reds’ defence of their Premier League title next season.
The Germany international registered 16 goals and 15 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions last campaign, and he will reunite with Jeremie Frimpong if he completes a lucrative move to Anfield during the 2025 summer transfer window.
