Chelsea deal back on? Bayern STUNNED as top target given €100m price tag

Chelsea target Nick Woltemade has been given an outrageous €100 million price tag by Stuttgart, according to German media.
The 23-year-old is the name on everyone's lips in his native Germany as Woltemade has emerged as one of the hottest properties on the market due to his exploits at the U21 European Championship.
Germany will face England in the final of the competition on Saturday evening, with Woltemade hoping to further boost his already ridiculous record of six goals and three assists in four games.
Earlier this month, reports emerged that Chelsea had opened talks with the versatile forward over a potential move. However, this week, Bayern went one better and surprised everybody by agreeing terms with Woltemade completely out of the blue.
Woltemade is said to be very keen on the move to Munich, but his club Stuttgart are fuming because they reportedly did not authorise the Bundesliga champions to approach their player.
Stuttgart name Woltemade price
According to Kicker, Stuttgart have now retaliated by slapping a whopping €100 million price tag on Woltemade. The Swabians feel well protected as the 23-year-old is still under contract until 2028 and has no release clause.
Despite the player already informing the club of his explicit desire to move to Munich, Stuttgart have no intention of making life easy for Bayern, who are said to have expected an asking price of around €50m, but not €100m.

The two clubs are 'worlds apart' in their valuation of the player, and the German outlet expects tough negotiations, which are set to really kick into gear when the Bundesliga window opens on Tuesday.
Although Bayern will feel that they could afford Woltemade - given that they were willing to spend €150m on Florian Wirtz - it seems highly unlikely that they will engage with Stuttgart at that price as the striker would initially play second fiddle to Harry Kane.
This could open up a window of opportunity for Chelsea, who themselves remain in the market for a forward. That said, there is no reason for Stuttgart to give the Blues a discount on Woltemade other than to spite Bayern.
