Viktor Gyokeres Transfer News Today: Arsenal message delivered as Man Utd truth revealed

FootballTransfers runs through the latest Viktor Gyokeres transfer news, rumours and gossip as the Sporting CP star continues to be linked with a summer move to Arsenal.
Transfer message delivered
Gyokeres helped Sporting CP win the Taca de Portugal final on Sunday night, with the Sweden star scoring a 90+11th minute penalty to send the game to extra-time, before strikes from Conrad Harder and Franciscao Trincao sealed victory for Rui Borges’ side.
After the game, Gyokeres was asked whether he will leave the club this summer. “I don’t know anything, I tried to focus on the last few games, if something is true, we’ll see,” he told reporters.
Last week, he also admitted to SIC Noticias: “We'll see. It's the future. Football is like that, you never know what's going to happen. As we saw this season, you never know what's going to happen. And it's the same thing now. We'll see what the future holds.”
Gyokeres vs Sesko
Arsenal have narrowed their striker search down to Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko, as per Ben Jacobs.
Gyokeres is set to cost a slightly higher overall fee than Sesko, due to wages and agent fees, and Chelsea are also interested in landing the Sweden star after qualifying for the Champions League.
Arsenal were set to pursue a deal for Alexander Isak if Newcastle United failed to secure Champions League football, but they will reportedly now push to bring either Gyokeres or Sesko to the club this summer.
Gyokeres to Man Utd?
Meanwhile, a move to Man Utd is “almost off the table,” according to Sky Germany, who claim that Gyokeres isn’t currently interested in reuniting with Ruben Amorim.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for Gyokeres in recent months, but he wants to play Champions League football and Man Utd’s loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final means they won’t feature in any European competition next season.
Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap has emerged as a priority target for the Old Trafford outfit, while they are also close to confirming the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Gabriel Jesus to leave Arsenal?
With Arsenal hoping to sign Gyokeres this summer, they are set to allow Gabriel Jesus to depart on a permanent deal when he returns to full fitness, as per TBR Football.
The Brazilian has been behind Kai Havertz in the pecking order for the past 12 months and Arsenal are hoping to finalise his exit amid their pursuit of Gyokeres.
However, Jesus is reportedly set to remain at the club until he recovers from knee surgery. He was set to be sold during the 2025 summer transfer window, but his departure will be delayed until he returns to full fitness.
