Marcus Rashford transfer detail could change everything

Marcus Rashford can begin the process of planning for next season, with the Aston Villa attacker, who is on loan from Manchester United, ruled out of the final two Premier League matches of the season.
Rashford, who is currently injured, is firmly expected to leave Man Utd this summer, even if he still holds out some hope of staying. A fallout with head coach Ruben Amorim in December appears to have ended his time at his boyhood side.
Meanwhile, his next move is uncertain – and Sky Sports have revealed a surprising detail in his loan agreement with Aston Villa.
Although the Birmingham side can buy out his loan deal for a reported €47 million (£40m), they do not have priority for the player. This means that another club could swoop for the same price and take Rashford from them.
While there is limited interest in the attacker for the time being, Rashford’s dream move is said to be Barcelona. This has been replicated by at least some interest from LaLiga’s champions in the attacker. The Catalans are said to be “monitoring” his situation, and the news that they are not at a disadvantage to Villa in this transfer race does suggest they have an edge now.

Marcus Rashford: Two transfer demands
Rashford, who is under contract until 2028, has made it clear that he has two requirements for his next club. Firstly, he does not want to move to London, going someway to ruling out Tottenham Hotspur, who have been regularly linked with him in the past, while he also ideally wants to play Champions League football.
While the player has limited himself significantly with these two demands, Man Utd’s stance that there is no priority club for their player means that bidding is effectively open for the England international attacker.
Aston Villa’s ability to sign Rashford on a permanent basis would appear to hinge on Unai Emery’s side qualifying for the Champions League next season, yet such has been the Man Utd star’s impact in Birmingham, he may yet make an exception if they can raise the funds for a deal.
