Chelsea ready to sign Alejandro Garnacho as 'price drops'

Chelsea remain interested in Alejandro Garnacho, who is expected to have his asking price significantly lowered by Manchester United, according to a report.
The Argentine winger is likely in the final moments of his Old Trafford career. Despite being so important to Man Utd last season, Garnacho has failed to kick on this term, and his relationship with new head coach Ruben Amorim is now officially broken.
Garnacho was left to stew on the bench for the majority of Man Utd's Europa League final clash with Tottenham, and he unsurprisingly wasn't happy about it. He made no attempt at hiding his frustration after the game, and his brother and agent similarly hit out at Amorim.
The Portuguese simply pointed to the fact that Garnacho had missed a huge chance in the semi-final tie with Athletic Club and later informed him that he should probably leave the club if he can't accept the coach's decisions.
Man Utd need to raise funds via sales and will listen to offers for the winger and other players this summer, just as they had already done in January when Chelsea and Napoli expressed an interest in the 20-year-old.
Chelsea still keen on Garnacho
At the time, no move materialised because Man Utd had slapped a whopping €70 million price tag on Garnacho, which was a fee that not even free-spending Chelsea were willing to pay for the hugely talented but inconsistent and hot-headed prospect.
According to Ben Jacobs, the Blues remain interested in Garnacho and a summer move is expected to be a much more straightforward affair. The journalist reports that Man Utd are expected to lower their demands for the forward.

Chelsea are looking to add a left-winger to their side this summer, but Garnacho is not the only name they are considering. Jamie Gittens and Nico Williams are also still on their radar.
Contrary to reports elsewhere, Jacobs states that Napoli have also retained their interest in Garnacho, although it is acknowledged that they likely won't have need of him if they manage to finalise their deal to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Georgiy Sudakov.
