Rodrygo open to Arsenal transfer on one condition

Real Madrid superstar Rodrygo is reportedly only willing to leave the club this summer if Xabi Alonso informs him that he will not be a regular starter next season.
The Brazil international has been heavily linked with a Santiago Bernabeu exit in recent weeks, amid rumours of a move to the Premier League, but he is eager to remain at Real Madrid if possible.
That is according to Spanish outlet AS, who claim that Rodrygo will discuss his role with Alonso upon the Spaniard’s arrival this summer.
The 43-year-old will return to Real Madrid as the club’s replacement for Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the Club World Cup, and reports indicate that he is likely to implement the 3-4-3 system that served him well during his time in charge of Bayer Leverkusen.
Rodrygo’s place in the starting XI is understood to be in danger as a result, and the Brazilian will seek assurances over his future under Alonso in the coming weeks.
However, the former Santos wonderkid is determined to gain Alonso’s trust over pre-season and he is currently planning on fighting for his place at the Santiago Bernabeu.
In fact, AS state that Rodrygo will only be tempted to secure a big-money summer transfer if he is told that he won’t be a prominent player under the new Real Madrid boss.

Rodrygo to the Premier League?
If Rodrygo does decide to leave Real Madrid, he will have plenty of suitors across world football, including a number of Premier League clubs.
Arsenal have reportedly initiated talks to sign the 24-year-old this summer, amid their pursuit of a new left winger, while Chelsea are also eyeing a potential deal as they look to bolster the attacking options available to Enzo Maresca next campaign.
Liverpool and Manchester City are known admirers too, with Rodrygo set to be courted by a host of elite teams if a Real Madrid departure comes to fruition.
The Brazil international has scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in 50 appearances so far this campaign, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at a whopping €106.9 million.
