25-goal Arsenal target CONFIRMS summer transfer

Lille striker Jonathan David has announced that he will leave the Ligue 1 side this summer.
The Canada international has been one of French football's most prolific strikers since joining Lille, with his current tally for the season standing at an impressive 25.
David has been the subject of rampant transfer speculation for months due to his contract situation. His deal expires this summer, and it has been clear for some time that he would not extend his stay in France.
The 25-year-old has now confirmed as much, announcing in a video on his social media channels that he is set to leave Lille in the upcoming transfer window.
"I wanted you to hear from me," David began. "After five years at the club, it's time to say goodbye. I spent five amazing years in Lille. I know it hasn't been the easiest, but I hope that my goals and celebrations have brought you guys some joy and happiness, and it's been a long and fun ride."
What next for David?
Despite confirming his departure from Lille, David has yet to choose his next club. A host of Premier League clubs have been linked with the Canadian striker in the past, most recently Arsenal. Last summer, David was also a target for Chelsea and Man Utd.
Barcelona would be the player's ideal destination. He revealed last year that he grew up supporting the Blaugrana and that it would be a dream come true to play for the Catalans.

However, Barcelona are not thought to be giving any serious consideration to signing David, although they will inevitably have to begin succession planning for the striker position given Robert Lewandowski's age.
At present, a move to Italy seems the most likely. Inter and Juventus have been linked with the prolific No.9 for months, while Napoli have already gone a step further and made him a formal contract offer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
