Victor Osimhen has spoken in glowing terms about Napoli amid speculation about his future.

The 24-year-old is one of Europe's hottest commodities, having fired Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years. With 31 goals in 39 games across all competitions, Osimhen showed himself to be one of the continent's deadliest forwards, a position of need for many a European giant.

Unsurprisingly, then, the Nigerian has been linked repeatedly with the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and, more recently, Paris Saint-Germain who are beginning to plan for life without Kylian Mbappe. The biggest roadblock to any potential deal has always been the fee he would command.

Napoli have reportedly slapped a hefty price tag on their talismanic striker. Their asking price has seemingly continued to rise as the months have gone on. Initially put at €100 million, then €120m, the Italian champions now appear to be asking for as much as €150m. This has put off most of his suitors, but there were never any guarantees that Osimhen would be keen to move in the first place.

Osimhen very happy in Naples

Indeed, the sharpshooter has been quite open about his love for the city of Naples and his current club. He again spoke in glowing terms about Napoli in an interview with Nigerian outlet Soccernet.

"I’ve won one of the most prestigious titles in world football," Osimhen said. "And I won it with a club that appreciates the little things you do for them...Now I’m addicted, and I can’t wait for the new season to come."

"I have never seen a city crazier about football like the way the Neapolitans are," he added. "They show all their players love. And wherever I go to, I am being respected. Kids love me, a lot of people admire me, they idolize me by putting on the replica of my mask."

"It shows the hard work I have given to them and what I mean to them. And for me, there’s no better place to be than this place."

"I am so happy I made the right choice by coming here. And achieving this kind of greatness with the Neapolitans is something that I will wake up and always smile about."
