Chelsea receive transfer warning over Morgan Gibbs-White

Chelsea have been warned Bayern Munich have a serious interest in signing Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White next summer.

Gibbs-White is developing a reputation as one of the best players in the Premier League after sparkling for Forest in recent seasons.

The 26-year-old played a key role in keeping the Tricky Trees in the Premier League last season, scoring an incredible 15 goals from midfield.

Daily Mail understands Chelsea considered signing Gibbs-White this summer, with the Forest man valued at around €70million (£60m).

However, talkSPORT claims the Blues face stiff competition from German heavyweights Bayern, who are eyeing up a deal for next summer.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker switched from the CAA Stellar agency to ROOF, who represent several leading lights in football.

Kai Havertz, Virgil van Dijk, Ademola Lookman and Brighton and Hove Albion boss Fabian Hurzeler are currently on the books at ROOF, as per the Mail.

Gibbs-White is set to join up with the England squad ahead of the international break which takes place across September and October.

He was drafted in as a late replacement for Chelsea forward Cole Palmer ahead of the Nations League games against Spain, Czech Republic and Croatia.

Gibbs-White has struggled to become a regular fixture for England, having received just six caps for the senior side so far.

He was overlooked for their World Cup squad, despite producing more goal contributions (18) than any other English player in the Premier League last term.

However, Gibbs-White now has the chance to impress Thomas Tuchel in training ahead of the game against world champions Spain at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

Chelsea suffer drop in form before international break

Chelsea meanwhile are dusting themselves down after embarking on a three-game winless run in the Premier League before the International break.

Xabi Alonso’s side - who are currently 10th in the table - suffered losses at Arsenal and Brentford either side of a home draw with Hull City.

Chelsea return to Premier League action when they entertain Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 10 October.
