Arsenal and Man Utd are on high alert after Ajax star Mohammed Kudus made his plans for the summer clear.

The 22-year-old is enjoying by far the best season of his career despite his sides' struggles. The Ghanaian attacker has racked up an impressive 18 goals and six assists in 41 games across all competitions this season in the Netherlands.

The versatile attacker, who can be utilised up top, in a more withdrawn attacking midfield role or out on the wing, has perhaps outgrown Ajax and the Eredivisie now given the Amsterdam sides' underwhelming campaign that sees them merely languish in third, while big rivals Feyenoord have won the title.

Kudus certainly feels that way as he has communicated his desire to move on this summer to Ajax, according to reports. His contract still runs until 2025, so he will fetch the Dutch side a sizeable transfer fee, having seen his stock rise substantially over the last 12 months, with him now sitting at an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €15.7 million.

Premier League interest

Given that he is still under contract for another two years, Ajax are said to want at least three times that, with the Athletic claiming that the Dutch giants have slapped a €46m price tag on Kudus, and they expect this price to rise further as more clubs take an interest in the attacker.

The report also states that the 22-year-old already has plenty of suitors in the Premier League. Among them are Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United.

His contract length gives Ajax the ability to play hardball given that they could still cash in on him next season. Nevertheless, he could be a cheaper option to some of the big-name strikers Arsenal and the Red Devils have been linked with.

He also has an age advantage over the likes of Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen and Dusan Vlahovic, but there may be questions about whether he could cope physically in the Premier League.
