Lacazette signed for Arsenal in 2017 from Lyon for £36 million and has gone on to make 181 appearances for The Gunners, scoring 68 times.

But under manager Mikel Arteta, he has found himself struggling to get a starting berth in the first eleven and has only found the net once in the Premier League.

Lacazette has been linked with moves to Milan, Marseille, Newcastle, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Arsenal manager Arteta on Lacazette contract situation

Arsenal are reported to be open to offers for the Frenchman in January as it presents the last opportunity they have to get a transfer fee for him.

Arteta has spoken about Lacazette's situation, confirming he is just one of several players who have contract issues to deal with.

"He is not the only one, we have a few. That’s something we have to deal with, with contracts that they were coming from a few years ago, with certain particularities. We knew that was the case," he said.

"I have already spoken with them individually about how we have to handle those situations the best possible way, and that’s it."

Lacazette replaced captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the 76th minute of Arsenal's 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
