Tim Weah is once again facing uncertainty over his future as a move from Juventus to Marseille appears to have fallen through.

The USMNT star is in the midst of a hugely tumultuous summer. Despite coming off a decent season, Juventus have tried to push Weah out of the club, who initially wasn't keen on leaving.

During the Club World Cup, Juventus axed Weah from their squad in a bid to force him to agree to a move to Nottingham Forest. However, due to the player's unwillingness, this deal didn't materialise.

Weah's agent, Badou Sambague, subsequently criticised the Bianconeri for their actions, but this did little to ease the tension. On the contrary, things appear to be getting even worse.

The 25-year-old has now agreed to leave Juventus, and up until a few days ago, Weah looked set to join Ligue 1 giants Marseille in a move he was extremely excited for. However, the deal is now dead in the water.

Weah agent slams Juventus director

This has now prompted a fresh rant from Sambague, who has accused one of Juventus' directors of blocking Weah's move in hopes of securing a 'fortune' from a Premier League club instead. The director in question is believed to be Damien Comolli.

“Juventus are a fantastic club, the sporting department is managed by three people who have class," Sambague prefaced his tirade while speaking to RMC.

Today, out of spite, he is demanding a fortune and is waiting for a Premier League offer that will never come, and we’ll never approve.

"We won’t hold it against them, but two are looking for solutions, and one is creating problems, and we cannot let that go. Tim Weah is always professional, but was sidelined during the Club World Cup.

"This person botched the World Cup by trying to force him to go where he wanted. Today, out of spite, he is demanding a fortune and is waiting for a Premier League offer that will never come, and we’ll never approve.

“These old-fashioned methods won’t work with me. I’m not accustomed to speaking out, but staying silent today would mean accepting the unacceptable and a total lack of respect.

“Class can’t be bought, at least not for an executive, but it’s always been part of Juventus. One person is undermining, so let’s see.”
