Barcelona slam 'disturbing' PSG chainsaw display
Barcelona have reported Paris Saint-Germain to UEFA after a "disturbing" tifo display by the fans of the French side during the Champions League clash between the clubs on Tuesday.
Ahead of the league phase fixture, PSG supporters displayed a graphic of a figure wearing a Michael Myers mask cutting through the Barcelona crest with a bloody chainsaw.
Underneath were the words, "Massacre, A La Parisienne", which translates as "Massacre, Parisian style."
A source told ESPN that the display was "overly aggressive and offensive" towards Barcelona.
Barcelona said of the tifo to BBC Sport:
"The club strongly condemns the incidents that took place when the tifo was displayed in the stands, including the images of a blood-covered chainsaw attacking the Barca crest.
"These images were deeply disturbing and conveyed a message that incites violence and hatred in sport.
"We consider this kind of imagery and language unacceptable as it goes against the values of respect, fair play and sportsmanship that should be upheld in football.
"We believe that football should be a space for healthy rivalry, mutual respect, and passion for the game, free from messages that promoted hatred or violence."

The game itself featured two of the teams considered among the favourites to win this season's Champions League.
Desire Doue gave PSG the lead with a lashed finish into the bottom left corner from the edge of the box seven minutes before the break. Ten minutes after half-time, Xavi Espart burst forward to equalise with a strike at the near post.
Lucas Hernandez and Lamine Yamal both scored for their respective sides within a seven-minute period, with the latter's equaliser coming in the 79th minute.
However, PSG responded quickly to retake the lead via Vitinha, while Fabian Ruiz made it 4-2 to the reigning Champions League holders with a finish from a yard out at the back post.
Afterwards, Barca coach Hansi Flick said errors in possession cost his side.
"I think it was a fantastic game from both teams," Flick confessed. "We made too many mistakes, especially in ball possession, easy ball losses.
"This is what we have to analyse. But I saw a lot of good things also. For me it was a great test for us. You saw today in which areas we have to improve. This is what we will do.
"We have to understand the mistakes happen because [the players] are not fresh. What they had to do the last couple of weeks is unbelievable. I appreciate the attitude. A lot of things were fantastic."
PSG boss Luis Enrique, meanwhile, was delighted at the performance from his players.
The former Barca player and head coach said:
"What I loved is how the players were capable of playing a sensational first half defensively, winning a lot of balls with the high press and creating chances to score more goals.
"And then we overcame difficult moments in the second half when Barça had 15 minutes when they dominated and were better. But we are a team that adapts to whatever happens on the pitch.
"I think we played aggressively, strong. You can see how difficult it is to press players of this level: Pedri, Lamine, Olmo, Raphinha, [Anthony] Gordon, Espart, [Pau] Cubarsi. They are talented as individuals and as a team. This is the best level we could come up against."
Enrique guided PSG to their first-ever Champions League win in 2025 and was also at the helm when they retained their crown in 2026.
In 2026/27, they are going for three in a row.
