The Spain U21 international shone in Kylian Mbappe’s absence at this summer’s Club World Cup, scoring four goals in six games at the tournament, but he has fallen down the pecking order since the Frenchman’s return to full fitness.

Garcia has started just two matches across all competitions so far this season, while he is yet to score in 233 minutes of action.

Xabi Alonso has deployed Mbappe in a centre forward role throughout the 2025-26 campaign and although Garcia appears to be favoured ahead of fellow youngster Endrick, he has been heavily linked with a January departure in order to improve his game time.

Several clubs in La Liga and the Premier League have expressed their interest in finalising a mid-season deal for the 21-year-old, including Aston Villa, Leeds United and Getafe, however Garcia has now opted to remain at the Bernabeu until at least next summer.

That is according to a shock report from Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that he will not entertain any offers to leave his boyhood club during the winter window.

Garcia reportedly remains committed to the Real Madrid project and he is determined to prove himself as a valuable asset to Los Blancos.

Endrick to leave Real Madrid

While Garcia is now expected to stay at Real Madrid in January, the aforementioned Endrick is set to leave the club on a short-term loan deal until the end of the season.

Widespread reports in Spain suggest that a full agreement has been reached for the Brazil wonderkid to join Olympique Lyonnais on loan, with the Ligue 1 side winning the race for his signature amid substantial competition from several other clubs across Europe.

Endrick is determined to be included in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the 2026 World Cup and Real Madrid have sanctioned a temporary departure due to his lack of game time so far this campaign.
