Real Madrid target PSG wonderkid amid growing Vinicius Junior concerns
Real Madrid have reportedly “accelerated their plan” to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Desire Doue amid concerns over Vinicius Junior’s long-term future at the club.
Doue, 20, enjoyed a sublime debut season at the Parc des Princes and he has emerged as a key transfer target for Xabi Alonso’s side as they look to bolster their attacking options in 2026.
The France international, who finished 14th at this year’s Ballon d’Or, still has four years remaining on his current PSG contract, but Real Madrid have earmarked him as the ideal player to elevate the level of their current forward line.
That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Real Madrid have “accelerated their plan” to Doue in recent weeks as they believe the Frenchman would complement both Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr in attack.
However, Vinicius has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia amid his ongoing contract dispute with Real Madrid and the likelihood of an exit would increase dramatically if Los Blancos are able to finalise a deal for Doue.
The Brazil superstar has just two years remaining on his current deal at the Santiago Bernabeu and Real Madrid are unwilling to match his current wage demands, as exclusively revealed by The Transfers Podcast back in March.
As a result, reports in the Spanish press suggest that he will be sold to the Saudi Pro League in 2026.
PSG unlikely to sell Desire Doue to Real Madrid
Although Real Madrid reportedly want to bring Doue to the Spanish capital, PSG are extremely unlikely to sanction a sale.
The France winger’s contract isn’t due to expire until 2029 and given his importance to Luis Enrique, Real Madrid would most likely be required to submit an offer in excess of his €106.4 million (£92.45m) Estimated Transfer Value (ETV).
Doue scored 16 goals and provided 16 assists in 61 games across all competitions last season, but he has only made four appearances so far this term after suffering a calf injury in early September.
