Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham has decided he wants to leave the Bundesliga next summer, and has already picked his next destination.

Bellingham has proven a relevation at Dortmund since signing from Birmingham City back in 2020, immediately establishing as a key player in the BVB starting line-up.

That promise has not gone unnoticed either, as the teenager has forced himself into England's plans ahead of the World Cup and also attracted the attention of some of Europe's biggest sides.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City and United have all been linked recently to Bellingham's services as speculation over his future has grown.

But according to reports in Spain it is Real Madrid who are in the driving seat.

Relevo claims that Bellingham has already decided to leave Dortmund at the end of the current season, and that his first choice for a new club will be the Spanish giants.

The 19-year-old is said to have made that wish explicit to his management team as he begins to look for a new side, though at this stage he will not rule out other options.

Why does Bellingham want Madrid?

Madrid would represent a huge challenge for Bellingham, and the chance to keep developing as a player while also challenging constantly for top honours both domestically and in Europe.

He also perfectly fits the profile of the type of player the Blancos have been seeking in recent years as they overhaul their glittering squad.

Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are both out of contract in 2023 and Madrid have already begun to bring a new generation through following their success over the last decade.

While they cannot compete with the Premier League financially, the club hopes that the opportunity to join the likes of Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni and become a cornerstone of their midfield will prove too tempting to turn down.
