Even though the likes of Destiny Udogie, Leonardo Spinazzola, Manuel Locatelli, Sandro Tonali, Marco Verratti, Ciro Immobile, Domenico Berardi and Wilfried Gnonto have been left behind, there is reason to believe, especially as the side will be led by Spalletti, the man behind Napoli’s Serie A title win in 2023.

But which of those going are possibly making a move at club level? FootballTransfers take a look at four.

Alessandro Buongiorno

Alessandro Buongiorno was one of the best central defenders in Europe last season. And naturally, that has drawn interest from other clubs in the division. The Torino man is thought to be available for €35 million - €40 million this summer and is even reported to be Antonio Conte's first choice target for the centre-back position at Napoli.

The former Chelsea boss has spoken to him and Buongiorno is eager to join up with the Gli Azzurri.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo

Going the other way is Giovanni Di Lorenzo. The right-back reportedly had a spat with Napoli, while his agent, Mario Giuffredi, came out publicly to say that his client will leave.

After comments made by Giuffredi, Napoli released a statement where they underlined that Di Lorenzo wasn’t for sale.

But this enraged his agent, who then fired back via CalcioNapoli24 with: "I say to president De Laurentiis that when we talk in life we can’t always retrace our steps because even footballers, and in this case Di Lorenzo, like every human being, have their own sensitivity beyond the football they play.

“In any case, I warn you that I will respond blow by blow to every inaccuracy as long as the whole truth comes out. As regards the Di Lorenzo situation, I reiterate that we will continue on our path, I will continue to work to ensure that the player leaves Napoli.”

Riccardo Calafiori is another Italy international who could be moved on this summer. Juventus are believed to be in talks with Bologna to sign him and the defender wants to make the move to Turin.

Federico Chiesa

Juventus have put Federico Chiesa up for sale as his contract runs out next year. It’s thought that the winger is asking for too high wages on a new deal, while new manager Thiago Motta is not thought to be a big fan of the attacker.

Juventus are looking to move Chiesa on so they can bring in more funds to their transfer kitty. It’s not clear how much the club will ask for at this point - but FootballTransfers' Estimated Transfer Value algorithm ranks Chiesa at €31.6m.
