Transfer News LIVE - Every rumour, every done deal: Amorim job THREAT, Rodrygo, Isak, Sancho LATEST
The new season may have commenced in many top European leagues but there will still be a huge focus on the transfer market over the next week, as teams look to strengthen before the deadline on the first day of September.
As always, Premier League teams have spent heavily so far.
Manchester United have signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to revamp their attack, with Manchester City also flexing their financial power to sign Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.
Chelsea have signed Liam Delap, Estevao, Jorrel Hato, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens, among others.
Arsenal have been very busy, too, bringing in Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Cristhian Mosquera.
The biggest deal so far this summer saw Florian Wirtz complete a blockbuster transfer to Liverpool from Leverkusen, while they also brought in Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth and Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong from the Bundesliga. Luis Diaz went in the other direction, signing for German giants Bayern Munich.
The transfer saga of the summer involves Alexander Isak, who is attempting to force through a departure from Newcastle to Liverpool.

No Man City move for Rodrygo
Man City have no intention of selling Savinho this summer which means it is highly unlikely they will bid for Rodrygo.
Fabrizio Romano reported on X: "Manchester City have informed Tottenham today that are not changing their position on Savinho. #MCFC have no intention to let him go, not even for fee over €70m — seen as key player for the season and for future. This also blocks any chance of Rodrygo to Man City."
Rodrygo has been linked with a €100 million switch to the Premier League.
No guarantee that Sancho will leave Man Utd
There is no guarantee that Jadon Sancho will leave Man Utd this summer, reports David Ornstein.
The winger is not wanted by Ruben Amorim and is coming off two straight loan moves to Dortmund and then Chelsea, with the Blues actually paying a penalty fee not to sign him on a permanent basis.
Sancho has been linked with a number of clubs including Dortmund (for a third spell), Juventus and Roma, but no deal has been concluded, allegedly due to his extremely high wages at United.
Is this a good Plan B?

Martin says he has board support at Rangers
Rangers manager Russell Martin says he has the support of the board at Ibrox even after the humiliating Champions League exit at the hands of Club Brugge on Wednesday.
"I have nothing to say but really apologise to the fans that travelled and the fans back home," Martin told TNT Sports.
"The job of head coach and manager is to make sure it doesn't happen again and respond properly. We didn't respond well enough to an early setback tonight. It shouldn't happen, it's such basics. Now we have to show a big response on Sunday.
"Patrick [Stewart] and Kevin [Thelwell], I've had a chat with them already, they're amazingly supportive. They knew this would take time, they understand the club's position."
Napoli want Hojlund AND Mainoo
Napoli are interested in not one, but two of Man Utd's young stars.
The Italian giants are already locked in talks with United regarding a loan move for Rasmus Hojlund with an option to purchase permanently next summer.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Napoli also want to sign Kobbie Mainoo, who has fell down the midfield pecking order at Old Trafford under Ruben Amorim.
Man City will not sell Savinho to Spurs
Newcastle will return with third Larsen bid
Newcastle will try a third bid for Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The Magpies have already had two bids rejected worth £50 million (€58m) and £55m (€63m), with the next bid expected to be closer to £60m (€69m).
It is believed Wolves are holding out for £65m (€75m). (Sky Sports)
Milan close to signing Nkunku
Milan have reportedly agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Christopher Nkunku.
The Frenchman is part of Chelsea's 'bomb squad' - players who the club are desperate to sell this summer - and the Blues are set to receive around €45 million for the former RB Leipzig forward.
Bayern had been locked in talks regarding a deal but it looks like Nkunku is set for San Siro. (FootMercato)
Arsenal close to signing Hincapie
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal to sign Piero Hincapie from Leverkusen.
Taking to X, the football transfer news reporter said: “Arsenal are now in direct talks with Bayer for Piero Hincapie deal after personal terms agreed.
“Arsenal’s preference for loan with obligation as deal now depends on structure to be approved or not by Leverkusen.
“If Hincapie deal can be agreed, [Jakub] Kiwior can join FC Porto.”
