Transfer News LIVE - Every rumour, every done deal: Gyokeres and Osimhen circle Premier League

Now that the domestic season is over for all major European leagues, clubs can now focus on their preparations for the 2025/26 campaign, with a natural focus on recruitment.
The big spenders will be out in force again, with Real Madrid looking to back new boss Xabi Alonso, Chelsea keen to improve again after securing Champions League qualification, and Manchester United desperate to reclaim some kind of success after a disastrous season that saw them finish just three places above the relegation zone in the Premier League.
The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha, with Man City also flexing their financial power to sign Tijani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli and Rayan Cherki.
Some big deals happened earlier than usual due to the Club World Cup and the deadline for participation in that tournament is now over.
Other clubs are free to complete deals.
Some questions that will hang over the transfer window this season:
- Will Viktor Gyokeres leave Sporting CP?
- Who will sign Victor Osimhen?
- How much can Barcelona spend?
- Will top players want to join Man Utd?
- Will Arsenal sign a world-class striker?

Chelsea told to sign Maignan
Former Premier League goalkeeper Robert Green believes Chelsea should solve their uncertain goalkeeping situation by signing Mike Maignan.
“They’ve got a lot of goalkeepers,” Green told the Mirror. “You look at Petrovic and others who weren’t even at the club this season. You have five who could be competing for the first team and that is too many in anyone’s squad. It needs clarification.
“If Mike Maignan comes in and you say that’s your number one, fine. It just needs that noise and unsettling nature of it to be nipped in the bud. Mike Maignan has excelled whether that be for club or country. He’s proven what he can do.
“Playing at Stamford Bridge is a very unsettling place. You see it when Sanchez or Jorgensen are playing, you see it on them, especially with the way they’re playing has really forced them into a position of needing a goalkeeper to take on a role of huge responsibility I think signing him [Maignan] could prove to be the answer.”

Dortmund CEO wanted Wirtz to join Bayern
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke believes it would have been better for German football if Florian Wirtz joined Bayern instead of Liverpool:
"It's a real shame that a player like Florian Wirtz is leaving the Bundesliga. I wouldn't have had a problem at all if he had gone to FC Bayern. That would have been better for the Bundesliga."

Maresca addressed Maignan links
Enzo Maresca isn't interested in talking about Chelsea's links to Mike Maignan.
When asked about the club's pursuit of the Milan stopper ahead of his side’s Club World Cup opener against Los Angeles FC, Maresca told reporters: “Robert [Sanchez] is the number one, we have Filip [Jorgensen] as number two.
“[Mike] Penders joins us in the next few weeks to analyse, judge him and take a final decision. Then for Maignan or different players, I don't think it's worth talking about them.”
Maignan's contract with Milan expires next summer and Chelsea were interested in a cut-price deal that, so far, hasn't materalised.

United identify Mbeumo alternatives
Man Utd seemed poised to conclude a deal for Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo but the situation has apparently changed due to Tottenham's alleged interest in the player.
New Spurs boss Thomas Frank worked with Mbeumo at Brentford.
Should the Red Devils not sign their primary target, they will look at alternatives, with Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze and Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo further down their wishlist. (ESPN)

MAMMOTH bids made for Arsenal target Rodrygo
It seems Arsenal have been outgunned in their pursuit of Rodrygo.
Mikel Arteta and director Andrea Berta are desperate to land the Brazilian winger this summer, but he could be on his way to the Saudi Pro League as Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal have both tabled mammoth €130 million bids to Real Madrid.
It isn't clear at the moment whether Rodrygo wants the Saudi move, but he isn't happy with his role at the club following the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, and the sitiuation has only been exacerbated by the more recent deal to sign forward Franco Mastantuano from River. (Fichajes)
Chelsea will definitely sign a new winger
Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Chelsea will sign a new winger now that Jadon Sancho has returned to Man Utd.
Speaking ahead of Chelsea’s opening match of the Club World Cup against Los Angeles FC, he told reporters: “Jadon is not with us. So for sure that is a position that probably we need to do something.
“Also because Misha [Mudryk] is not with us. At this moment we have Noni [Madueke], Pedro [Neto] and Ty [George] as proper wingers. So for sure something is going to happen.”

Shock club in for Dibling
Tyler Dibling is the subject of interest from Portuguese giants Porto.
The Southampton winger is wanted by a number of clubs following a breakthrough season with the Saints, with Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City among his admirers.
However, all suitors have been put off so far by the Saints' reported £100 million asking price. (Record)
