Gyokeres to Arsenal ‘sealed in a few hours’ as OFFICIAL offer made

Arsenal could complete Viktor Gyokeres' signing in the next few hours after tabling an official bid late on Tuesday night.

Record reports on Wednesday that Arsenal and Sporting Lisbon have now come to an agreement over the €10 million bonuses that had stalled the transfer over the past week.

Arsenal have now agreed for the bonuses to be easily attainable but Sporting have compromised by allowed the triggers and payments to be spread over a longer period.

The report adds that Arsenal's new offer which includes these agreed terms was tabled at 10.13pm on Tuesday.

Record also adds that Arsenal want the deal wrapped up quickly and that the transfer could be sealed "within a few hours".

Gyokeres to Arsenal

This news comes after The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported on Tuesday afternoon that Arsenal are now adding the “finishing touches” to the transfer, with Gyokeres expected to complete his move to north London imminently.

The Sweden international will join the Gunners for an initial fee of €63.5 million, with a further €10m in add-ons, having agreed a five-year contract at the club.

Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed Gyokeres' transfer to Arsenal with his famous 'here we go' catchphrase.

Gyokeres' competitive debut is likely to take place on the opening day of the Premier League season on 17 August when Arsenal play Man Utd at Old Trafford.

Arsenal have been in negotiations to sign Gyokeres for several weeks but faced troubles first agreeing a transfer fee and then settling the problem of the bonuses.

This has now been settled.

A war had been ongoing all summer between the player’s entourage and his club over his asking price.

Gyokeres’ agents claimed that Sporting broke a promise to sell him for around €60m plus €10m in bonuses, while Sporting denied a promise was ever made.

This led to Gyokeres refusing to turn up to pre-season training in a bid to force a move through to Arsenal.

Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now after having an incredible season, scoring 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions, and leading Sporting to another league title.

This follows on from his brilliant form from the previous season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.
