Gyokeres to Arsenal is DONE as Berta flies to Portugal
The Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal deal is all but done after Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta flew to Portugal.
The report states that all the key components of the deal have been finalised, with only the last details of the payment structure to be settled.
FootballInsider reports that it is only now a matter of when, and not if, the transfer will officially be announced.
Gyokeres to Arsenal
The BBC adds that Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta flew to Portugal at the end of last week to have face to face talks with Gyokeres and Sporting in order to finalise the deal.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Gyokeres is on the verge of joining Arsenal and CNN Portugal have now revealed that he will move to the Emirates Stadium for €80 million.
Gyokeres has even reportedly packed his suitcases as he prepares to travel to London in order to sign his contract at Arsenal.
CNN Portugal claim that Gyokeres’ move will consist of a fixed fee of €65m plus €15m in add-ons, although O Jogo believe that Sporting are holding out for a guaranteed sum of €70m, with an additional €10m in variables.
However, both publications state that an €80m deal will be confirmed shortly.

Nicolo Schira had already reported last Wednesday that Arsenal and Gyokeres have an agreement in principle on a contract until 2030, with salary and terms all settled upon.
A public war had erupted between the player’s entourage and his club over his asking price.
Gyokeres’ agents claimed that Sporting broke a promise to sell him for around €60m plus €10m in bonuses, while Sporting denied a promise was ever made.
Duncan Castles revealed on the Transfers Podcast recently that Gyokeres was very upset at Sporting breaking a promise to sell him this summer for the mentioned fee.
Castles added that there is a clause in his contract that Sporting must pay Gyokeres a €6m penalty fee if they do reject offers of over €60m.
A Bola reported that this clause was activated as of Tuesday 1 July.
That €6m will go to Gyokeres’ agent Hakan Cetinkaya, and meant that Arsenal could put the pressure on Sporting into finally selling their star man by bidding over that amount.
Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now after having an incredible season, scoring 54 goals in 52 games in all competitions, and leading Sporting to another league title.
This follows on from his brilliant form from last season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.
