Arsenal are keen to further strengthen their squad this summer as they look to continue their progression under Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners have continued to improve each campaign under the tenure of Arteta and that is partly due to their activity in the transfer market.

In the summer of 2023, Arsenal broke their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham for €116.6 million.

Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya (loan) also arrived during the same window as the Gunners spent big after missing out on the English top flight title.

The club haven't been shy in splashing the cash recently to try and fight the might of Manchester City and Liverpool in the Premier League, and with an injection of Champions League money, they are set to splurge on transfers this summer, again.

We exclusively detailed via Steve Kay that Arsenal are prepared to SMASH their transfer record this summer.

As always with such a big club, the Arsenal transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with Arteta keen to add to the talent he has already brought to the club.

No contact made for Toney yet

No contact has been made by Arsenal or Chelsea for Ivan Toney yet.

The Brentford striker is likely to leave the club this summer and some of the Premier League's biggest teams have been mulling over a bid.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the situation is quiet for now, however.

“It’s wuiet around Ivan Toney right now," the journalist told Caught Offside.

"Honestly, Arsenal and Chelsea never made proposals now or in January despite links – I’m told Toney’s situation will be assessed in the summer and it’s not one for May. Let’s see the strikers domino, and the player’s price tag. Brentford never wanted to make any discount for Toney, despite some talk of his price coming down significantly.”

Arsenal set asking price for Zinchenko

Arsenal are open to selling Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer and have set their asking price at £39m.

The Ukraine international arrived from Man City in 2022 but has been unable to secure a regular place in the starting XI whether it be in central midfield or at left-back.

Caught Offside reports that Zinchenko is a target of Newcastle and Bayern Munich.

Why Arsenal won't sign Bruno Guimaraes

Brazil legend Rivaldo believes his compatriot Bruno Guimaraes will join Manchester City ahead of Arsenal.

The Newcastle player has emerged as one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League since his move from Lyon, with his performances attracting big interest.

He has a £100 million release clause that can be activated in June, and Rivaldo thinks that, if given the choice, Bruno would choose City over Arsenal.

"He's a great player and has been standing out this season," he told Betfair. "It's clear that nowadays everyone wants to play for Manchester City because they have Pep Guardiola and a very tight and harmonious team. I believe that if Guimaraes leaves Newcastle, he will choose to go to Manchester City."

Chelsea table HUGE bid for reported Arsenal target

Chelsea have bid £26 million for Brazilian winger Estevao Willian of Palmeiras.

The 17-year-old has impressed since breaking into the Palmeiras first team, but the Brazilian outfit face a battle to keep the player as some of Europe's biggest clubs are circling including the Blues, Manchester City, Arsenal, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Estevao has been likened to Lionel Messi which has led to the nickname 'Messinho'. (FootballLondon)

Isak asking price REVEALED

Arsenal have prioritised the acquisition of a new centre-forward this summer, with Alexander Isak emerging as a top target.

The Newcastle striker has scored 20 Premier League goals this season and it is those numbers that have attracted the interest of the Gunners.

According to Football London, Arsenal would need to pay £100 million to sign him from St. James' Park.
