Man Utd Transfer News Today: Myles Lewis-Skelly interest as star says 'yes' to move
FootballTransfers runs through the latest Manchester United transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Myles Lewis-Skelly and Joshua Zirkzee.
Myles Lewis-Skelly to join?
Man Utd are exploring a bold move to sign versatile Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly, according to The Independent.
It’s claimed that Arsenal are reluctant to sell the 19-year-old this summer, but that stance could change after the expected arrival of the aforementioned Guimaraes, with United keen to pounce by pursuing a deal for the 19-year-old.
Man Utd reportedly have a long-standing interest in Lewis-Skelly, who can operate as a left-back and also as a midfielder, but the England star still has four years remaining on his current contract and a deal will therefore be difficult to finalise.
Joshua Zirkzee says ‘yes’ to exit
Joshua Zirkzee has moved a step closer to leaving Man Utd after approving a possible move to Juventus, according to reports in Italy.
The 25-year-old has scored just nine goals in 75 appearances for the Red Devils and following interest from Atalanta and Roma in January, the Netherlands forward has received fresh interest from Juventus, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
In fact, it’s understood that Zirkzee has said “yes” to joining the Serie A giants this summer, who will now look to step up their interest in the attacker.
Teun Koopmeiners interest
Man Utd and Aston Villa are both interested in signing Juventus midfielder Teun Koopmeiners, as per Italian publication Calciomercato.
The Dutchman has and Juventus are open to sanctioning a sale this summer if they receive an offer worth at least €30m.
However, they could be tempted to finalise a loan deal with an obligation to buy if no interested club wants to finalise a permanent transfer before Deadline Day.
Altay Bayindir to leave
La Liga side Celta Vigo want to sign Man Utd goalkeeper Altay Bayindir this summer, but reports in the Spanish media suggesting that a full agreement has been reached are false.
That is according to The Daily Mail’s Chris Wheeler, who posted on X: “Man Utd sources confirm interest from Celta Vigo in taking keeper Altay Bayindir on loan this season but say the deal isn’t done yet.”
Bayindir made six Premier League appearances for Man Utd last season but he is firmly behind Senne Lammens in the pecking order and he is set to leave following the signing of Karl Darlow.
