Baleba deal unlikely

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that a potential move of Carlos Baleba to Man Utd is "complicated" following the Brighton midfielder's injury.

The Cameroon international is expected to be sidelined for several weeks after suffering a pre-season injury. The issue is not as bad as initially feared, but Baleba is expected to be out for some time.

Man Utd are long-standing admirers, and the player is known to be very keen on the move, but a deal now looks highly unlikely. "Man Utd, at the moment, are not proceeding with the Carlos Baleba deal," Romano stated.

Salinas opportunity?

Barcelona are unwilling to trigger the €16 million release clause in Jorge Salinas' contract at Racing Santander, Sport understands.

It was initially thought that the left-back could be signed for €8m, but the value of the clause doubled following Racing's promotion. The new LaLiga club have made it clear that they won't compromise on this €16m fee.

The player is keen to join Barcelona, but the club's dithering could present Man Utd with an opportunity. TEAMtalk claims that he is considered a potential alternative to Newcastle's not-for-sale left-back Lewis Hall.

Endrick contact

The same outlet also writes that the entourage of Real Madrid striker Endrick has made contact with Man Utd.

The Brazilian has grown concerned with his role at Real Madrid following the club's attacking recruitment drive, which has seen them bring in Carlos Espi and Yan Diomande. Endrick is considering a potential move away.

Consequently, his representatives have made contact with possible suitors to gauge their interest. Real Madrid, though, are currently only open to a loan exit.

Man Utd still keeping tabs on Camara

Man Utd remain attentive to the situation of Lamine Camara at AS Monaco, Foot Mercato reports.

The Red Devils were strongly linked with the Senegal international a few months ago, but so far little has come of it. However, the French outlet states that the club are still tracking him.

It looks as though the midfielder could take his first steps in the Premier League at a smaller club, though. Crystal Palace are said to have already made a formal offer, while Nottingham Forest are currently preparing a bid.
