Man Utd a ‘threat’ as Real Madrid finally see sense over Endrick

Real Madrid are ready to perform a U-turn that will see Endrick allowed to move away on loan during the January transfer window – and Manchester United are one of the clubs targeting him.

Manager Jose Mourinho put the block on any potential exit for the 20-year-old attacker during the summer, but Los Blancos are ready to reassess that stance and allow Endrick to depart on a temporary basis.

The forward has made only one appearance for Real Madrid so far this season, coming off the bench to feature against Elche in a 3-2 victory. Otherwise, he has spent his time as a substitute after a muscle injury.

Real Madrid ready to change Endrick exit stance

Endrick could now be allowed to leave the Spanish capital in order to earn more game time, just as he did last January when he went to Ligue 1 side Lyon on a temporary basis.

Manchester United are a ‘threat’ to sign Endrick, according to Calciomercato. The Old Trafford side were in touch with those close to the player in January and are still trying to fill a gap in their squad for a player to support Benjamin Sesko, who is again faced with an injury worry. Meanwhile, Matheus Cunha and Joshua Zirkzee aren’t seen as pure strikers.

Interest has also come from Milan and Roma. The former already tried to sign the young Brazilian in the summer but were unable to overcome resistance from Mourinho towards a deal.

Milan are said to have Endrick ‘top’ of their list to reinforce their attacking options, with Endrick seen as capable of playing as a second striker or competing with €75 million summer signing Goncalo Ramos for the No.9 role.

Why the battle for Endrick will be so intense

Endrick is unlikely to earn much game time at the Bernabeu this season. With Kylian Mbappe established as the club’s centre-forward and Carlos Espi already scoring goals from the bench, he is third choice in that role.

Out on the right, meanwhile, he will compete with Arda Guler and Yan Diomande, again leaving him third choice – and that’s before the return of Rodrygo from long-term injury.

So leaving on loan once more to earn more game time appears a sensible option to help develop his game further in a first-team setting.
