Everton have no intention of selling Jarrad Branthwaite amid renewed interest from Manchester United, according to The Times.

Branthwaite has played a key role in the Toffees’ unbeaten start to the new season, helping them keep three clean sheets in five Premier League games.

Such has been the impressive form of Branthwaite that the 24-year-old has been included in the England squad for the upcoming international break.

The centre-back will hope to impress in training ahead of the Nations League clashes with Spain, Czech Republic and Croatia across September and October.

Daily Mail understands the performances of Branthwaite have alerted Man Utd, who have reportedly reignited their interest in signing the Everton defender.

The Red Devils pursued Branthwaite in the summer of 2024 but Premier League counterparts Everton refused to sanction his sale at the time.

And The Times understands Everton have not changed their position on Branthwaite, who signed a five-year contract through to 2030 last summer.

Branthwaite spent pre-season in Munich to understand injury woes

A left-footed colossus who stands at 6ft 5in tall, Branthwaite has made 101 appearances for the Merseysiders, scoring five goals.

The Times has revealed Branthwaite spent a portion of pre-season in Germany as he underwent tests to better understand how his body works.

Branthwaite has sustained a number of injuries in recent seasons but his rehabilitation in Munich over the summer has paid dividends so far.

Man Utd under pressure after difficult start to the season

Man Utd meanwhile have endured a difficult start to the season, winning just two of their opening seven games in 2026-27.

United are winless in three having suffered losses against Manchester City and Brighton and Hove Albion, while they needed a late goal to draw with Fulham at the weekend.

The 20-time league champions return to action on Saturday, 10 October when they entertain fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

In-form Everton, on the other hand, face a trip to Hull City in their next Premier League fixture on Sunday, 11 October at MKM Stadium.
