Arsenal receive huge update on €134m star as selling club issue fresh stance
Arsenal have been told Paris Saint-Germain have no interest in selling Bradley Barcola this summer, according to The Athletic, with the Champions League holders valuing the winger at more than €134million (£116m).
Widespread reports understand the Gunners are keen to build on last season’s Premier League title victory by signing a right-back, a flexible midfielder and a left-sided forward ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
The Independent understands Arsenal have developed an interest in signing PSG winger Barcola, with the 23-year-old widely regarded as one of the best players in his position.
Barcola joined PSG from fellow Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2023 and has scored 39 goals in all competitions for Luis Enrique’s side, winning 12 trophies including back-to-back Champions League titles in 2025 and 2026.
However, according to The Athletic, PSG have told suitors they are not willing to sanction Barcola’s departure, despite the forward’s reluctance to sign a new contract at Parc des Princes.
Barcola - who, according to The i Paper, is also admired by Liverpool - has just two years remaining on his current deal and The Athletic understands he is unhappy with the amount of starts he received at PSG last season.
Yet The Athletic claims PSG are still keen to keep hold of the France international, who they believe is worth more than the €134m (£116m) Manchester City are about to spend on signing Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest.
The same publication adds PSG do not need to sell Barcola as the expected departures of Lee Kang-In, Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani will generate funds to back Luis Enrique in the transfer market.
Arsenal also receive setback in Rogers pursuit
The news that Barcola is not for sale comes after The Telegraph reported Aston Villa are putting up a fight to retain the services of Morgan Rogers, who is another target for Arsenal.
Rogers is regarded as one of the Premier League’s best attacking midfielders after an excellent 2025-26 campaign, scoring 14 goals in all competitions as Villa clinched Europa League glory.
The 23-year-old also played a crucial role in helping England qualify for this summer’s World Cup, making his first start in the tournament in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Panama in New Jersey.
However, The Telegraph understands Villa have no interest in selling Rogers, who they value at €150m (£130m). The same outlet claims Chelsea are also interested in signing the former Middlesbrough man.
