Leao wants Arsenal

AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is keen on a summer move to Arsenal, the print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport claims.

There is said to be growing desperation in the Portugal international's camp to find a suitable new club for him. Leao recently admitted that he wants to leave Milan. This came after numerous reports indicated that the Rossoneri were looking to cash in on him this summer.

It is understood that the winger has been put forward as an option for Arsenal, while Barcelona and Man Utd are also clubs of interest to Leao. Milan are believed to be ready to sell him for around €50 million.

Monga says yes to Arsenal move

Leicester City prospect Jeremy Monga has chosen Arsenal as his preferred destination this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.

Monga has given the green light for the Gunners to pursue his signing, with the Premier League champions now poised to beat as many as seven rival clubs to the signing of the teenager. Leicester are believed to be entitled to a compensation fee of over €10m for Monga.

Fabrizio Romano reported earlier that Arsenal had begun to "push" hard for the signing of the 16-year-old. Monga has rejected the chance to sign a professional contract with Leicester after their relegation to League One.

Rogers a concrete Arsenal target

Romano also reports that Aston Villa attacker Morgan Rogers is a genuine target for Arsenal this summer.

The England star is expected to be sold by Villa this summer, with the club ready to cash in on their superstar forward. Rogers is said to be open to joining Arsenal. However, Romano insists that the Gunners have not yet made a final decision on which of their target they will pursue.

"The market for wide players has been particularly active in recent weeks, and Rogers is expected to be part of that movement. I expect several clubs to be involved in the race for his signature," Romano said.

"Arsenal are certainly among them and, from my understanding, there have already been direct contacts with the player's representatives. Rogers is definitely on Arsenal's list, but they are not alone. Arsenal must also determine which winger is their priority target among several options being considered this summer.

"Any move would be expensive. Rogers recently signed a new deal, Aston Villa will be playing Champions League football, and the club are very satisfied with the direction of the project."

Real Madrid interested in Calafiori

Real Madrid are interested in Arsenal defender Riccardo Calafiori, Romano has confirmed.

The transfer insider has corroborated rumours that Los Blancos have identified the Italy international as a target. In fact, contact was already made with the player's camp some time ago. However, Romano insists that a deal for the Arsenal star would not be easy to pull off.

"What I can reveal is that Real Madrid made contact with people close to Calafiori a few weeks ago to gather information about the Italian defender," he explained.

"Calafiori remains a very important player for Arsenal, making any potential deal far from straightforward. Arsenal consider him an important part of their long-term project."

Liverpool step up Diomande chase

Liverpool have made contact with RB Leipzig for Yan Diomande, David Ornstein reports.

The Reds are currently the club best-placed to reach an agreement with the Ivory Coast international, and they are now stepping up their pursuit with club-to-club talks. Leipzig, though, continue to insist that he is not for sale.

Diomande is also a target for Arsenal and various other clubs, including PSG. The Parisians are in the mix to sign the 19-year-old, but they have not made as much progress as Liverpool.
