Manchester United officials have reportedly reached an agreement to listen to offers for Manuel Ugarte this summer.
The Uruguay international was signed by the Red Devils back in 2024, during Erik ten Hag’s final summer transfer window at the club, but he has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth throughout his stint at Old Trafford.

Ugarte has fallen further down the pecking order following the interim appointment of Michael Carrick, with Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro preferred in the middle of the park, and he has been widely tipped to depart the 13-time Premier League champions during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Galatasaray were eager to secure his signature in January and the Turkish Super Lig giants are now “pushing hard” to finalise a deal ahead of this summer, as per TEAMtalk.
It’s reported that Man Utd are open to offloading the 24-year-old as they look to oversee a midfield rebuild, while Ugarte himself is keen to depart Old Trafford in search of more regular football.
The former Paris Saint-Germain star has only started seven Premier League matches so far this season and a summer switch to Galatasaray is edging closer, with Man Utd officials ready to sanction a deal.

With Casemiro’s imminent departure confirmed and Ugarte likely to follow suit, Man Utd will be required to sign at least two new central midfielders this summer to provide support for the aforementioned Mainoo.
It has been widely reported that INEOS will once again target Premier League proven stars this summer, and they have earmarked the likes of Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Sandro Tonali, Carlos Baleba and Joao Gomes as some of their top midfield targets.
It’s understood that Anderson is their primary target, however fierce rivals Manchester City also want to sign him and a bidding war is therefore expected to take place once the England star returns from this summer’s World Cup.
