Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to part ways with interim boss Igor Tudor following their 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

The north London giants haven’t won a single Premier League match in 2026 and they are currently languishing down in 17th place in the English top flight table, just one point clear of West Ham United in the relegation zone.

Spurs have lost six of their last seven league games and pressure is mounting on caretaker manager Tudor, who only joined the club as a temporary replacement for Thomas Frank in February.

The 47-year-old, who was sacked by Juventus earlier this season, is now set to lose his job at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium by mutual consent. That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, who claim that Spurs are set to confirm the departure of Tudor after “weeks of internal discussions.”

The Tottenham hierarchy reportedly decided that defeat against Nottingham Forest would result in a managerial change, and Tudor is willing to step down from the role following the tragic recent death of his father, Mario.

Ex-Monaco boss Adi Hutter and former Tottenham defender Chris Hughton, who guided Brighton & Hove Albion to the Premier League in 2017, are both under consideration to take charge until the end of the season.

Mauricio Pochettino hint

News that Tudor is set to be sacked comes amid rumours that Mauricio Pochettino could return to Tottenham following the 2026 World Cup.

The current United States of America manager spent just over five years as Spurs boss before being sacked in 2019, and it’s understood that he retains a strong relationship with club officials, despite his recent tenure at rivals Chelsea.

Pochettino is set to lead the USMNT at their first home World Cup since 1994 this summer, but a return to club management could potentially be on the cards after the tournament and he is among the contenders for the permanent Tottenham job, alongside Roberto De Zerbi.

In fact, during an interview with L’Equipe, Pochettino hinted that he would like to return to the Premier League at some point.

When asked whether he misses English football, the 54-year-old admitted: “I miss the world of football in England. I love the country, its culture, the football culture. For anyone with a competitive spirit who wants to measure themselves against others and test their abilities, it's the ideal place. Here, you have to constantly give your best.”
