Arsenal make offer for PSG wonderkid: He's perfect for the Gunners!
Arsenal have made an offer for PSG youngster Senny Mayulu, according to French media.
The 19-year-old is in the midst of a contract dispute with the reigning European champions. PSG want to tie Mayulu to the club long-term, but finding common ground has thus far proved impossible.
This has caused quite a stir in France. After all, Mayulu is incredibly highly rated. Despite his youth, he has already made 76 senior appearances for PSG, playing as a forward, midfielder and even as a makeshift full-back.
Reports have claimed that Mayulu's wage demands are excessive, but this recently prompted a response from his camp. Those close to the player believe that these stories have been planted in the media by senior figures at PSG in a bid to pressure the youngster into agreeing fresh terms.
The fact of the matter, though, is that Mayulu has thus far rebuffed all of PSG's offers. As a result, French journalist Dominique Severac has claimed that a "point of no return" has been reached.
Arsenal make Mayulu offer
"From experience, PSG can accept one counteroffer, but not two," the journalist explained. "That is what is provoking his exit at the end of the season. The club don’t appreciate that he has rejected three offers. The point of no return has seemingly been reached."
His current deal expires in 2027, which means that PSG will almost certainly sell him this summer if no agreement on an extension can be reached. This has attracted the interest of suitors.
Arsenal are said to be keen on the teenager, and FootballTransfers has been banging the drum that he would be an ideal signing for the Gunners for over a month now. With Kai Havertz potentially facing an uncertain future, Mayulu would be a perfect replacement.
Media Foot now claims that Arsenal are getting serious about their interest in Mayulu. The French outlet asserts that the Premier League leaders have made a contract offer to his representatives.
The Gunners are his "most eager suitors" and are looking to pounce on the uncertainty surrounding his contract talks. If the impasse with PSG is not resolved before the end of the season, Arsenal will be at the front of the queue to sign the 19-year-old.
