Carlos Baleba issues response

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Carlos Baleba has denied speculation that his form has dipped as a result of summer interest from Manchester United.

Baleba has only played the entire 90 minutes in one Premier League match so far this season, and it has been hinted that his drop in form may be due to his failed summer move to Old Trafford.

However, Baleba himself has now poured cold water on such claims during an interview with Sky Sports.

“I don’t think it affected me negatively, but I had a lot of pressure on me,” the Brighton midfielder admitted (via GOAL). “When I started this season, I wanted to show the same performances as last season.

“Every day I try to work hard and get back to my level. Did I put too much pressure on myself? Yes, I think so, but I think it’s good. It’s good for me, because now I have to get through this slightly stressful period, get back on the horse and continue working hard.”

Confirmed: Noah Sadiki wanted

Man Utd have firmly registered their interest in Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki as they look to bolster the options available to Ruben Amorim next year.

According to TEAMtalk, United are ‘paying close attention’ to Sadiki after his impressive start to life with Sunderland.

The Red Devils are believed to have held talks with Sadiki over the summer, along with Crystal Palace, Tottenham, Leeds and West Ham, while Chelsea’s BlueCo owners took interest with the view of bringing the DR Congo international to Strasbourg.

In spite of the interest, Sunderland are said to have ‘no desire’ to part ways with Sadiki next summer, while the player himself is thought to be happy at the club and not listening to the speculation surrounding his future.

Diogo Dalot to leave?

Manchester United director Jason Wilcox is “discussing” the future of Diogo Dalot amid interest from Real Madrid, as per TEAMtalk.

A contract extension or a potential sale are currently distinct possibilities and Real Madrid are explicitly named as suitors. Despite the summer signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Los Blancos are keeping close tabs on Dalot due to Dani Carvajal's age.

The fact that Dalot can play multiple positions also makes him attractive to other clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, his representatives have supposedly approached Man Utd to gauge whether contract talks could be on the agenda for 2026.

Kobbie Mainoo latest

Chelsea and Bayern Munich are currently leading the race to sign Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, as per CaughtOffside.

The England star is yet to start a Premier League match this season, after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim, and he is expected to pursue a January exit in a late bid to be included in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad.

As many as 12 clubs are eager to sign Mainoo during the winter window and although his priority is a move to Napoli, it’s claimed that Chelsea and Bayern are leading the chase for his signature.
