Portuguese outlet Canal 11 has released a bombshell interview with Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes, which was recorded during the November international break.

In it, Fernandes claimed that Man Utd's directors wanted to sell him to Saudi Arabia in the summer, but that he rejected the move for family reasons, due to his affection for the club and because Ruben Amorim wanted to keep him.

However, Fernandes said that he still has it "in his head" that some people at the club wanted to push him out. Regardless of his comments, Man Utd insiders insist that the Red Devils did not want to sell him and that they also want to keep him in 2026.

Semenyo deal on

Man Utd are firmly involved in the race to sign Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo in the January transfer window, having already explored a deal in the summer.

Despite signing three attackers in the previous window, Man Utd could make a move for the Ghana international in the winter, and it has even been suggested that he could be converted into a wing-back.

Semenyo has a €74 million release clause that must be triggered in the opening weeks of the window to give Bournemouth the chance to bring in an adequate replacement. Man Utd face competition from various English giants.

Mainoo exit closer?

Kobbie Mainoo

Kobbie Mainoo's half-brother Jordan Mainoo-Hames turned up at Old Trafford for the game against Bournemouth on Monday wearing a "Free Kobbie Mainoo" shirt, causing a stir.

The 20-year-old was once again just a substitute amid ongoing speculation surrounding a January exit. Mainoo is keen to leave on loan to get minutes under his belt ahead of the World Cup.

Mainoo's situation at Man Utd has been described as "delicate," and his brother's actions have only added fuel to the fire. Amorim has grown increasingly annoyed with the constant questioning of his utilisation of the midfielder, although he has given him longer spells on the pitch lately.

Man Utd's INEOS sister club Nice are interested in a January move for out-of-favour midfielder Manuel Ugarte. The Ligue 1 outfit are massively struggling and desperately need signings.

Nice are coming off a hugely disappointing summer, and Man Utd are partially to blame for it, having refused to loan Kobbie Mainoo and Rasmus Hojlund to the French side.

Ugarte is seen as an ideal reinforcement, but it is claimed that a deal is unlikely as the midfielder is not really keen on joining the floundering INEOS club.

Man Utd have shortlisted four left wing-backs after Amorim suggested that this position needs to be strengthened following a loss to Everton in November.

Sporting CP star Maxi Araujo has been watched by scouts in the flesh recently, with the Uruguay international having briefly crossed paths with Amorim in Lisbon.

Additionally, Man Utd have also been keeping tabs on alternative options such as Benfica’s Samuel Dahl, Lorient’s Arsene Kouassi, and Club Brugge’s Joaquin Seys.
