TRANSFER RUMOURS: Chelsea rekindle Osimhen interest as contract talks confirmed

Transfer rumours continue to dominate the online football world and things are beginning to heat up ahead of the January window.

Below, FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours from 10 November, including the latest on Victor Osimhen and Adam Wharton.

Victor Osimhen to Chelsea?

Chelsea have reportedly rekindled their interest in Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen after opting against finalising a deal this summer.

Osimhen has already netted on nine occasions in 12 matches so far this season, including six in the Champions League, and his form has caught the attention of several elite European clubs.

That is according to Turkish publication Fanatik, who state that Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain all eager to sign the 26-year-old next summer.

Adam Wharton contract talks

Crystal Palace have initiated contract extension talks with Manchester United target Adam Wharton, according to football transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.

The 21-year-old has emerged as a key target for the Red Devils in recent months and Ruben Amorim’s side are expected to intensify their pursuit of his signature in January as they look to sign at least one new central midfielder in 2026.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also said to be tracking Wharton’s development, however Crystal Palace have now opened contract talks with the midfielder, as per Romano.

Arsenal discount

Arsenal have reportedly been told that AC Milan are willing to sell Rafael Leao for a fee as low as €80 million next year, despite the fact his current contract includes a release clause worth €150m.

The Portugal international has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for several seasons and Arsenal are “ready” to accelerate their interest in his signature during the upcoming January transfer window.

That is according to CaughtOffside, who claim that Arteta views Leao as the perfect player to strengthen Arsenal’s attack.

Man Utd make Jadon Sancho decision

Manchester United have taken a decisive decision over the future of Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

The ex-England international is currently on loan at Aston Villa, and the Red Devils have already decided to cut their losses on the winger and will not renew his contract, Fichajes reports.

With an estimated wage of around €200,000 per week, the club feel that they are haemorrhaging money on Sancho and they are willing to let him leave on a Bosman deal next year.

Fermin Lopez to Sunderland?

Sunderland have submitted an €80 million offer for Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, according to a bombshell report from Spain.

Regis Le Bris’ side have enjoyed a spectacular start to the 2025-26 Premier League season, following their promotion from the Championship, and they are currently fourth in the English top flight table after 11 matches.

Spanish publication Fichajes now claim that Sunderland have “surprised the football world” by lodging an €80m bid for the aforementioned Fermin, who was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
