Transfer updates are once again beginning to dominate the online football space as clubs across the world begin to finalise their plans for the upcoming January window.

Chelsea chase Myles Lewis-Skelly

Chelsea have reportedly started planning a shock move for Arsenal wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Blues journalist Simon Phillips reports that Enzo Maresca’s side have completed ‘background checks’ on Lewis-Skelly ahead of the January transfer window as they look to take advantage of his lack of game time so far this season.

However, Arsenal have made it clear they will not sell Lewis-Skelly to their rivals. The teenager himself is also reported to have no interest in moving to Chelsea and is happy at Arsenal.

Adam Wharton offer

Manchester United have reportedly submitted their opening bid for Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.

The England international, who was included in Thomas Tuchel’s starting XI against Albania on Sunday, has been earmarked as a key midfield target by the Old Trafford hierarchy and the Red Devils have now ramped up their pursuit.

That is according to transfer reporter IndyKaila, who posted on X: “My contact at the club [Man Utd] is telling me that a bid has been submitted for Adam Wharton. Ruben Amorim loves the player and believes he can sell the project to Adam before Liverpool contact the player.”

Arsenal transfer plan

Arsenal are reportedly open to selling Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White and Gabriel Jesus during the upcoming January transfer window, while Ethan Nwaneri could leave the club on loan.

Mikel Arteta’s side splashed a whopping €293.5 million on new signings this summer and despite links with Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo, it’s understood that Arsenal are likely to retain faith with their current crop of players for the remainder of the campaign.

In fact, The Daily Mail report that the expectation is for 95% of Arsenal’s squad to remain unchanged. However, the aforementioned four players could be set to depart.

Antoine Semenyo to Liverpool?

Liverpool have reportedly been in direct contact with Bournemouth over a January deal for Antoine Semenyo for the past two months as they look to bring him to Anfield during the upcoming winter transfer window.

The 25-year-old is viewed as a possible long-term successor to Mohamed Salah by the Reds hierarchy and transfer reporter IndyKaila has revealed that Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has been in “direct contact” with Bournemouth for two months.

It’s understood that Liverpool are the favourites to land Semenyo in January, although IndyKaila has reported that Arsenal could challenge Arne Slot’s side for the versatile forward next year.

Enzo Fernandez decision

Chelsea have reportedly slapped a €136 million price tag on Enzo Fernandez’s head in a bid to ward off interest from Real Madrid.

The Argentina international has been continually linked with a Santiago Bernabeu switch since the start of 2025,but TEAMtalk have revealed that Chelsea will demand a fee of at least €136m (£120m) for the 24-year-old.

It has also been reported that Enzo Maresca’s side have no intention of allowing Fernandez to depart, with the Argentina superstar viewed as an integral member of the first-team squad at Stamford Bridge.

Ryan Gravenberch contract

Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of finalising a new contract with Netherlands international Ryan Gravenberch.

Gravenberch’s current deal at Liverpool is due to expire at the end of June 2028, but talks over fresh terms are well underway.

In fact, transfer expert Nicolo Schira has confirmed on X that a contract extension will be signed shortly.
