Man Utd rocked as €85m target WANTS to join Arsenal
Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi has reportedly made it clear that he would like to complete a move to Arsenal next year, despite interest from Manchester United.
The Germany winger has just over 18 months remaining on his current contract at the Signal Iduna Park and he is widely expected to secure an exit in 2026 amid rumours of a potential Premier League switch.
Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Adeyemi in recent weeks, although it’s understood that Xabi Alonso’s side are unlikely to pursue a transfer next year as they have identified alternative targets.
Man Utd, on the other hand, are firmly in the race to land Adeyemi and they have even initiated contact with his agent, Jorge Mendes, in recent weeks as they look to gauge the possibility of a deal.
The Red Devils bolstered their forward line with the additions of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this summer, but they remain eager to sign reinforcements and Adeyemi has been earmarked as a possible signing by the Old Trafford hierarchy.
However, the Dortmund star has made it clear that he would prefer to join Arsenal next summer, as per The Mirror.
Karim Adeyemi to leave Borussia Dortmund?
Talks over a new contract between Adeyemi and Dortmund have stalled in recent weeks and rumours of an imminent departure have unsurprisingly intensified as a result.
He has now been widely tipped to leave the German giants in 2026, with Niko Kovac’s side slapping an €85 million price tag on his head as they look to maximise the potential transfer fee they could receive for the 23-year-old.
Man Utd reportedly deem this valuation excessive, while it’s unknown whether or not Arsenal would be willing to fork out such a fee for the winger.
Mikel Arteta’s side added Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze to their attacking ranks this summer, but the Gunners have been heavily linked with a number of new forwards ahead of 2026, including Nico Williams, Antoine Semenyo and Adeyemi.
